Based on your link, this waterspout was spotted in Destin/Miramar Beach area, so yes you said "off Florida's 30-A" when you meant Destin.
I put it in quotes because the guy in the video said, "30-A, here it comes." I laughed when I heard that. That's why I included the quote in the title and plus this board has a minor obsession with 30-A and thought title would garner a little more attention. Oh and the admins edited by title.

What would this do to a normal size boat. 100% capsize it?

Most waterspouts/landspouts aren’t formed from a rotating mesocyclone which is what forms tornadoes. They form from different dynamics. Probably shear right at the surface.
This was basically a “tornado over water”

Probably so.
All I know the times I've seen them in the Gulf while fishing we GTFO.

Destin isn’t 30a.
The spout was heading east from Destin...in the direction of 30A.

We were in Seagrove a couple weeks ago. Sat on the beach and watch 2 form and dissipate about a 1/2 mile off shore. Got close enough to see the water coming up off the surface. Neither as big as the one shown.

The Orca was the boat in Jaws.
"We're gonna need a bigger boat."

Not going to lie, that is one of the scariest most beautiful images of nature

Damn, Mother Nature was angry about something.
Port Fourchon April 2005. We were going offshore to do some fishing. Came onshore and did some damage to the Seaport Facility.
