Why is Abita Beer so expensive?

12 pack of Abita costs 16.99. I can get a 30 pack of Natty Light for 20.99. Seems like a no brainer to me

Two issues. Abita, while not trash is not the premium beer they think they are. The fact they demand premium prices over say things from parish or great raft is laughable.

Why are you comparing Abita to Natty light? They are very different.
$16.99 for a 12 pack of craft beer is not bad for 2022. I'm not a big fan of most Abita, but most other 6 packs are at least $8-9.

Seems like the Louisiana equivalent of Shiner Bock or Karbach (which used to be locally owned). It's a premium beer for college students or new beer drinkers, but the taste isn't all that great to be paying much more than a standard domestic.
