After digging a little more into this school, they probably did her a favor getting her out of there. They teach that the earth is 6000 years old and they pledge allegiance to the Bible every morning

Jews have a different view of abortion than you realize. They don’t view life as starting with contraception so your little gotcha doesn’t really work here.

First of all, I highly doubt that. Second, that was an example of how a religious entity can deny entry to their club to someone who doesn't agree with their principles, i.e. doesn't effectively practice their religion, not a discussion of abortion on the merits. That's unrelated.

It wasn't a gotcha.

What's the difference in Sunday school and the religious Pre-K school? Sunday school is no different than an extension of the church as Pre-K. They gotta stay consistent otherwise it is hypocrisy.

I think it’s more interesting to ask what if she was a sophomore when her parents died and was now entering her senior year of high school? Would the school still kick her out?

The answer should be yes. That fact change is irrelevant to the schools position. But that would be a super duper shitty thing to do.

Jesus was Baptized to cleanse his soul of the Sin he shared with his fellow man.

The Bible is very specific about that not being true
quote:

Matt 3:16 And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water

The word straightway is very important in this passage, because its already been established in this chapter that when John baptized folks, he had them immediately confess their sins
quote:

Matt 3:6 And were baptized of him (John) in Jordan, confessing their sins.

John clearly didnt ask him to, thus allowing Jesus to leave the water immediately because he had no sins to confess

Additionally, there are 5 verses that specifically state that Jesus never knew sin

1 John 3:5
1 Peter 2:22
2 Corinthians 5:21
Hebrews 4:15
Luke 1:35

Yeah I don't know where he's getting that. Saying Jesus sinned is certainly not in line with Catholic theology.

It’s not in line with any Christian theology. Jesus being the spotless Lamb of God is kind of an important part to miss. It is what allows us to be counted righteous before God.

What does this flag look like?

If it's not the Flag of the Holy Roman Empire, then it's not a universally recognised Flag.

I never claimed Jesus sinned.

And none of you can link to where I made that claim.

He didn't have to confess his sins after Baptism because there were no sins committed to confess.

But he had to be Baptised to erase the Original Sin he was born with--just like every other human born to this world except one.

You don't have to repent the Original Sin because the Act of Baptism does it for you; that is the Reason we get Baptised.

Children who die before getting Baptised used to get "condemned" to Limbo. But I think the Catholic Church has backed away from that in more recent years. I'm not sure, but I think the Pope (Previous. Possibly John Paul the Second) proclaimed that they are now accepted into Heaven and God's Grace because if they would have survived long enough, they would have chosen or been given the Rite of Baptism to cleanse their Sin.

Want to know another feat one person in the history of mankind was able to achieve that Jesus didn't? Only one soul ever to grace Earth was able to ascend to Heaven without dying; it wasn't Jesus who achieved this.

Elijah is the only Earthly being to be accepted into Heaven without having to go through the process of death first.

If Jesus was real and living today he would be considered a pussy libtard.

Well, he did get pissed, overturn tables, and chase out the money changers when they were defiling the sanctity of a holy place.

He also steadfastly confronted - to the death - the authority of the prevailing religious and political structures.

So, no, he probably wouldn't be labeled a pussy libtard if he were doing that today.

There are few things I despise more than the politicization of Jesus Christ into "liberal" or "conservative."

Good for them.

23 pages of religion and politics. I don’t know why people put themselves through things like this. Maybe I’m just too passive because I would have moved on a long time ago.

This little church academy in DeQuincy, LA of all places where I’m sure the pastor is straight out of the woods and refuses to step out of the 1960s and into the 21st century. Adapt or get left behind. These are the type of people that get left behind.

I found their Facebook profile (a few mutual friends) and looking through it, there’s absolutely no reason to believe that they’re seemingly good people. Blown out of proportion because of who one loves. Christians want to act like they’re so infallible, but in the end, they’re the terrible people that they’re trying to label these two ladies.

Not so fast my friend. I just read Hamiltons code of conduct. Students will be expelled if they get pregnant, get someone pregnant, or even get married. Seems like they also have issues with certain sex issues and being Godly

Seems as if all Christian schools have expectations. It wont be long before you read the lesbians complaining about being asked to leave this school either

news article said Hamilton reached out to them. Hamilton pretty much takes anyone, its the place many kids go if they are kicked out one of the catholic schools.

Not a bad school by any means, but not your typical private school demographics or income level either.

At least they don’t teach ignorant liberal ideology: fish become philosophers, you can choose what sex you want to be, being gay is normal, and white people are the devil.

I don't think we need to blow up the consequence of this school or incident, but it's generated a lot of discussion about where the lines are here and highlighted some of the tough choices that Christian schools will likely confront, regardless of whether you think this falls into that bucket.
