She doesn’t give me Kristen Stewart vibes. She’s not that damn bad. But I do think she has some work to do. Like others have said, I think she did really well in Ebola Holmes and she was much better this season in Stranger Things than the last two.
She has the talent but I do think she coasts through some scenes just because she thinks she’s made it already.

I'm more disturbed about tales of her hooking up with producers 3-5X her age.
She's clearly had plastic surgery done, too. AT 19, FFS.
That God-awful town is going to break her before she's 30, if it hasn't already.

But yeah, she seems to be growing up WAY too fast in a town that is notorious for chewing up child actors and spitting them out.
Overall, I think she's a decent actor. Certainly better than some of the other ST kids. (Lucas's little sister to name one)
And hell, look at that plank that played Lilly on Modern Family. If that kid can make a multi-year run with zero talent, the bar isn't very high.

I agree she's not as great as people make her out to be.
Sadly I read way too many TMZ and Hollywood Reporter stories, and I remember reading that she can be difficult on set and her and her parents have big demands.
She held out a few years back on Stranger Things and demanded to be the highest paid on the show and got her way. She just rubs me the wrong way like her shite doesnt stink

I don't know if she is overrated, but I don't find her to be a particularly good actress. Now, I think she is overexposed.

She is what, 18 or 19? Leo was doing Basketball Diaries at 19. He had some pretty powerful scenes in that film that Millie's acting hasnt yet come anywhere near as good.

If they were starting up the production of Star Wars episode s 7-9 now instead of 10 years ago, I have no doubt they would have cast her as a Skywalker and the focal point of the trilogy rather than Ridley. She damn well could be convincing as the daughter of Leia and grand daughter of Natalie Portman.
Not saying it would have been better but it's the type of low-hanging fruit that Disney would base a multi-billion dollar trilogy on.

Agreed.
Little to no range.
She hit the jackpot getting the role of that robotic character.
I still like her, though, and im sure she’ll have a successful long acting career.

I actually agree that Leonardo DiCaprio had a rough run of films from 1997-2000 - at least from an acting standpoint. His performances in The Beach, The Man in the Iron Mask, and even Titanic weren't that solid. I'd argue that he didn't come into his own until Spielberg and Scorsese got a hold of him. Since 2002 and the release of Gangs of New York and Catch Me If You Can, he's been very consistent.

Pretty damned strong in This Boy's Life w/ Deniro too. I don't know how anyone can argue that he wasn't an amazing talent early on.
