Demco. Broke $500 last month. First time ever. Had never even broken $300 before 2022.
3500 living plus a pool and a separate game room. House has spray foam insulation and is pretty efficient for its size. Thermostat stays 77/78 daytime and 74 upstairs overnight to sleep. Friends nearby have a slightly larger place, and their bill was over $1K last month. Insane.

1900 sq ft house.
Bill is 125-130 per month.
73 during the day when we are home.
70 at night.
When not home the thermostat is set to 82 but it never actually gets to 82

Some of the oddest flexes I have ever read.
I live in a giant uninsulated 2 story Victorian with three 5 ton central units and the entire thing is kept at 72 degrees, total power bill $386.
If you anyone is honestly breaking $500 in 2,000 sf you best go unplug your neighbor from your outlets or you have a big assed ground fault

Age and efficiency of the unit has everything to do with this...replacing our unit that was about 17 yrs old has paid for itself in just a few years

Agree.
6285, 2 4 ton units and a 2.5 ton. 2.5 ton stays at 69. Other two stay at 74 in day. Upstairs goes to 68 at night.
This month's bill was 271.

The price of electricity for me is 68.5% higher per kilowatt hour from July 2021 to July 2022.
Don't let anyone tell you that prices are high because of the heat wave...

We would have hit $600 if we didn't have levelized billing. Normal years our bill is $400 at the highest for usage that month. What is going to suck is the bill will be $300-$400 all winter long.

I did and I switched companies to lower my bill to 70 lol

Was $490 last month but putting in a pool and building a poolhouse I’ll crack that $500 this month for sure. Ran a cement mixer 10 hours a days for a week straight

$600 in Texas. 3500 sq ft.

Somehow I only got to like $440, I fully expected it though

Me 570 last month who knows what this month will bring

The key is running the ac for 12 hours or less a day.
I've kept my bills under $300.
But have insulation and newer windows which helps.

3000 sq ft. 380 this month. Thermo set on 77 during day and 74 at night. Also a cement pond. Last year around 240.

Still sitting in the $300s. But I have a wind plan that doesn’t have fuel surcharges.
