NBA legend Bill Russell has passed away peacefully at the age of 88. RIP.

LeBron just tweeted that he’s going to die more peacefully at the age of 89.

11 titles in 13 years. 11. In. 13. That will never be replicated. He was the greatest winner in the history of sports. Period.

We have lost a true legend today. RIP Bill.

Yep. It's a shame he was born in an era where he had to fear for his life on a daily basis in his native home. Very glad his family was able to find greener pastures for him to spread his wings.

Truly the GOAT, perhaps in every possible way. RIP.

RIP to him...what a winner.

i know it had to happen eventually but i'm glad its today so it overshadows that womens euro soccer final that the media was looking forward to shoving in our faces.
