Why is AirBnB so full of shite?

What they list the rental for is LITERALLY twice as much as what is listed after all the bullshite fees and BEFORE taxes.

Because you're only looking at 1 night. The service and cleaning fee stays the same if you are booking say 5 nights so it wouldn't be double.
For 1 night stays, it's harder to find value in STR's

You know the cleaning fee is going to be there. Change that from a night to a week and the fees go from double to like 10%. If you aren't aware of how this works by now, that's your fault.

Hotels don't bill maid service separately. Air BnB apparently does. Read the full agreement and this won't make you outraged, it will just make you informed.

Have you ever booked a hotel? It’s always going to show the rate and then there’s going to be small print, extra fees, taxes, that show before you book it.
It’s nothing new.

Don't know what's in this "service fee", I'd assume they put service fees in there like everyone else to help adjust for inflation.
The cleaning fee is standard.

AirBnB is not meant for one night stays, brah. Who wants to clean their entire house for someone staying there one night? Hell yeah, you're going to get charged.

Airbnb, and similar sites, are not the most economical when it comes to single night stays. When I rented out my beach condo I always pointed out that you had a kitchen available and didn't have to eat out for every meal which saves big bucks. That was important for families with kids that didn't want to pack up their stuff at the beach for every meal

Op,
Look and see if they offer this place up on other sites also. With other sites they have an option for fèes f on online site. Airbnscumbags have a set fee. U go thru them, u paying them that fee.

That is exactly why we use VRBO/ AirBNB when we vacation. We save a ton so it is worth the cost compared to a hotel.

The cleaning fee isn't decided by AirBNB.

I don't recall seeing an 80% cleaning fee on my last 1 night Marriott stay.
I think that is what OP is getting at.
