If this is true, and there were no injuries, the guilty party should have just offered to pay for the damages and a little lagniappe. With the way folks snitch these days, that may be harder than 10 years ago.
I boat often on the Ross Barnett in Jxn, I just assume everyone on the water is drunk and give them a wide berth. Likely harder to do that on rivers though.

The geographical waterway where incident occurred is not technically named Belle River. It’s a bayou. Belle River runs into many different waterways but for ease of location reference most people call them all Belle River.

Apparently party barge was pretty much at standstill close to side of bank and the other boat made a beeline at them. 9 people on party barge waving and hollering to no avail.

I just talked to someone. They said someone hit the party barge. They exchanged information. Then the people on the party barge called the police after and accused them of hit and run.
