Jeff had a stroke and can't play anymore. They have a young woman for the fiddling section and she's damn good. I saw them in Tallahassee a few months ago. They still put on a great show

“Banjos? Eh they’re ok in small doses. Little too hillbilly otherwise.”

Like Stroker Ace….perfect for that song.

Correct me if I am wrong (I trust that the OT will) but there is no fiddle in that song. Right?

That line never made sense to me, followed by:

That steel guitar is hot
But not for a Louisiana man

It’s “lead guitar,” not “steel guitar.”

And as it’s been said, Louisiana Man is a song, not a person.

There’s no “a”

It’s just but not for Louisiana Man

Louisiana Man is an older country song they were referencing

It's also lead guitar, not steel.

I was 3 minutes too late.

Saw Kershaw at the LSU Union. He was hired by the Louisiana National Guard or Reserves for an impromptu concert somewhere in the Union. Free keg beer. Wasn't a big Kershaw fan, but he sounded good after a few beers.

Either by brilliant marketing or dumb luck, becoming the "House Band" of Myrtle Beach worked out pretty well for those boys.
