idc what anyone says, I love Orange Beach.

I agree, Gulf Shores and Orange Beach (and Ft. Morgan too) are great. It's the edgy, cool thing around here to act like they suck and that staying a block off the beach in 30A and riding around there on a bicycle is better.

Maybe saves a couple of bucks, but it is still just as crowded.

No, orange beach stinks. Too crowded, getting worse. Don’t come here. Perdido Key is just as bad. Make sure you are east of Pensacola before turning south.

She is assuming room temperature now.

A woman fell to her death Sunday morning from a condo balcony in Orange Beach, according to police

The incident happened around 5:30 a.m. at Phoenix III condos, said Lt. Trent Johnson.

“At this time, there is no indication of criminal activity,” Johnson said.

The woman is a 41-year-old from Louisiana.

Johnson said the woman’s name has not been released due to privacy issues.

I’ll be in Gulfport Tuesday. That’s close enough to GS and OB I want to be. I’ll even have a pool to swim in.

Gulfport and Biloxi has better food and a lot of things for adults to do. Gulf Shores has a lot of things for kids

OB was awesome up until about 2015, at that point it felt like night and day difference from the year before in terms of how crowded it was. We had been staying at Phoenix7 since I was a child, but it wasn't worth the clusterfrick at that point.

All those Phoenix's have the same layout around the pool area. Had this happened during midday she would have likely landed on a person or kid out by the pool

I'm guessing the ground broke the fall?

Neither does all of your speculation. I knew her very well and my wife told me some person was making asinine comments . You have No respect , easy to speak about someone you know nothing about . I bet you have a different opinion if the story had affected you. No compassion at all.

Just did Sandestin earlier this month and I'm sitting on Orange Beach right now. Outside of the water being bluer in Sandestin, everything about Orange Beach is better. Sandestin is way too crowded now.

The sand is cleaner and isn’t full of broken shells. Destin does an amazing job of keeping the beaches spotless. With that being said, I’ll still be going to Perdido this summer because getting to Destin is a shite show compared to Perdido.

Love the Ft. Morgan area. We’ve been staying in a house just on the other side of Kiva Dunes from The Beach Club for about 8 years now.

we'll be on sawgrass in morgantown all next week. the HOA just posted that the governor announced that the beach must return to its natural state. ie, the rental companies that rent big arse tents and like to leave them up all week will need to remove them nightly. gonna be interesting.

subtle brag that i know someone who knows someone who has a beach house.

Yep. It wasn’t the fall that was so bad, it was the sudden stop.

We stay in Surfside Shores. That will be interesting to see play out, as there are a ton of those rental tents. The Ft. Morgan area, since it’s not a municipality, has never adopted a “Leave Only Footprints” policy. So that would be a change for the area, for sure. We bring our own tent and leave the frame up at night (well anchored and canopy taken off nightly so that it doesn’t going flying while we’re asleep), but everything else is either neatly stacked (chairs) or brought up with us. We do not leave any trash or toys down on the beach once we come in for the day.
