The only ones that care are the far right religious nut bags on here. Mostly found in the poli board

This whole idea that religious people are behind having some fricking standard on abortion is a false one. The vast majority of the country wants it

Upvote because you seem like a genuine guy. I can understand your choice even tho that’s not the choice I would have made. Good post.

Yes it does - it’s called personal responsibility

The reality is it's probably not productive or healthy for us to engage with people who see this "issue" differently.

And what’s the % of abortions that from rape?
What percentage of gun killings are in self defense? Still kinda important to iron out even the very small percentage of cases don’t you think?

There’s a whole amendment about that in the constitution

First off, I am a believer.

Secondly, given your situation, I don’t think God will damn you to hell when the time comes.

As for the rest of the board. I am conservative, but have a hard time wrapping my head around the way this board values life to the max one minute, but will shite all over life in New Orleans when blacks kill blacks, or when kids are born to coked out moms with fathers in prison.

My kids gonna be defective and a pain to deal with so let’s kill her….

That’s was Adolph’s thought process.

Because even "leading" pro abortion research groups confirm that the overwhelming majority of abortions aren't for medical issues, rape or incest?

You don't understand why people value life one minute, and then criticize killings the next minute?

That's not the same as chicks who just sleep with 3 different guys a weekend and just don't take responsibility.

I had a friend who had an abortion - the father could’ve been one of nine guys.

She’s the only woman I know who has had an abortion and not regretted it

9,000 abortions a year in America ar for rape. If you want you can just tell those 9,000 girls to frick off, but to others we would like to maybe iron out the details even for the small percentage of cases

From an extremely pro-life guy on all accounts, I of course have sympathy for this story.

In a perfect world, I think the majority of the populace would have some understanding of your situation. . As real and heartbreaking as your story is, it’s an edge case. Most people screaming and protesting today aren’t screaming and protesting for your case. They’re screaming and protesting abortion as birth control. That shouldn’t (and doesn’t) frame your circumstances, but it unfortunately frames the national dialogue.

I know people in your situation that gave birth to their children and they died in their arms hours later and I know a family that just had their daughter graduate HS after 2 heart transplants and is headed to college this year.

The problem is that even if the right would grant 1st trimester, your case, or rape, it wouldn’t be enough for the left right now. I’m not absolving the right, just saying that the Overton window has shifted too much.

I am sorry for your family’s hardship and am praying for y’all as I know the national dialogue has to be difficult right now for both of you.

Rape brings the entire thing to a boiling point. If you are ok with a rape exception, then you are in fact ok with allowing a baby to be murdered If you aren’t ok with rape exceptions, then you are saying a woman can in fact be forced to have a baby completely against her will or choices Either way, it’s hard to signal one’s virtues there

Do believe in late term abortions? Hard to virtue signal about a woman’s right to choose if you don’t.
