I work for the city and someone higher up has also told me they heard the recall is going to be successful. Sorry, that's all I have. I hope they are right. I signed it so my job may be in danger but I don't even care at this point. I hate my job.
A few years ago it was taken over by leftists
Yeah. I've been here forever but it is just so bad now, it's depressing. The third world vibe just keeps increasing no matter how much we try to insulate ourselves. I'm working on getting into a better job situation that I can take elsewhere and then we would have to sell the house and go. Thinking of maybe one of the nearby parishes. Possibly Florida long term.
The stupider bit is if they got a Pell Grant, which they usually did if their income was low (which supposedly all poor poor black women's income is), it's 20 grand anyway, so she's just wrong
Isn't Fetterman about to die of a stroke or something?
You can't come at cult members like leftists straight on. If they already know you're not on their side, they put up a hard wall. Make them believe you are liberal or at least left leaning. Don't say anything to directly confront their biases. Very mildly un-pc jokes can open a crack in the wall, you have to be careful with those, though. Discussions about being uncomfortable with leftist policies that genuinely hurt, say, women or children (there are plenty of those) can leave them with their own burning questions and thoughts later, just be sure to make it sound like you're confused about it too. The racial idiocy is also a good place to pick at slowly.
Always talk to them alone, never when they are with their group. Many of them are more willing to admit to feeling unsure about leftist thought when alone, they will never break rank when in front of other leftists.
They probably change those every week at least
idk, it's interesting because I genuinely dislike the man and don't think he's all that smart. I am old enough to remember him from when he was kind of a headline grabbing businessman, always in some sort of trouble in the 80s. Then he had his Apprentice "You're Fired" show. I thought his run for the presidency was a joke. I don't think he's all that conservative.
After he got elected, I actually liked some of the things he did and I found it weird people who claimed to be woke protectors of the people just knee jerk hated everything he did. He was right about a lot of things in the end. I voted for him second time around but I didn't tell my friends because they would probably die of a stroke.
Well they run off all other business with progressive laws and taxes.
They're the ones who run NOLA reddit and now they are starting to leave. Their arrogance is astounding. "We came here to try to fix things! People here don't want our help!" That's right, we sure don't want your "help".
No, not after having "green" lithium ion batteries nearly burn my house down a few weeks after Ida
A 30 second google search proves her right about solar. Solar requires stored battery power or reliance on the fossil fuel grid at night. But never let it be beyond the woke, sensitive crowd to bring out sexist insults against a conservative woman for being "stupid" when they are told she is wrong about something they don't know anything about themselves.

"Maque Choux"

Posted by NOLAGurl on 8/4/22 at 5:30 am
I have a friend who isn't from here and she just discovered this recipe called maque choux. I grew up in a large Cajun family in Houma and I never heard of this, nor have I at any time since living in NOLA. Have I just somehow missed this? Is this some Emeril invention? Is this really a Cajun thing or some NYT cooking fantasy? help
I tend to not know much about what is going on in Baton Rouge or other cities but I'm just waiting for Latoya to be led away in Handcuffs so yes on #1. Jason Williams is already awaiting his trial so yes on that. Peterson just made her plea deal and has resigned so I guess we can't vote for her anymore. Not even a mention for our governor?
I applied to become a poll worker because they claimed they "needed poll workers" and at the time I didn't have a job. Neither did my son and he applied too. We never heard form them.
Zuckerbucks have installed the politicians in half the country, including our state's own recently resigned Gamblin' Karen Peterson.
A lot of places are beautiful and aren't run by fascist progs
Oh yeah, heart attacks, especially in women, can feel like basic illness while they are killing them.
This is a top tier COVID scare story, up there with one of the ones that went around at the beginning of the pandemic of the chick who dropped dead in her kitchen of "probably COVID"
edit: Oh this is the same story, how did this get bumped, lol
