I was just criticizing your posting style. We’re in agreement on the actual issue.

sister. Due to our state of residence, this was not legal unless the mother's life was in danger so we had to go to Boulder, CO to have it done.

And after this ruling you still have that option. This didn’t change anything in any state that has a more liberal abortion law.

Last page I said we had friends who had the same diagnoses as the OP and their daughter just graduated HS this year.

I know that an edge case as well but there are absolutely people out there that defied the Drs. odds.

Well now that you mention it...

I was straight up sterile. 0 swimmers. I brought it to the Lord in prayer for months believing we would have children.

I now have two children (one on way), which are indeed mine. Our doctors couldn't believe it.

Boom. Roasted. Praise Jesus.

That isn't proof. Please provide evidence that the specific god you worship performed a miracle.

We did not find out about our child's medical issues that were very similar to those you described until he was born. We decided to terminate 2 weeks after delivery.

That sounds worse doesn't it? But is it?
In both cases parents killed a deformed child.

Nobody will convince Finley and it's not your job to do so. Pray for him and move on.

Your story is why I'm pro choice. I hate abortions. I would welcome a child. But there are issues where an abortion would be the better option.
I had a relative born with only a partial brain. Never walked, talked,
,saw or had any control of movement. 17 years he lived as a vegetable.

How do you know it was Jesus? What proof do you have?

I agree, but if there is a push to put a national 15 week ban in place, they we would not have had any option.

I supported the decision yesterday but this is not something I support. The whole point is giving the rights back to states. SCOTUS would promptly strike a nationwide ban down.
That being said your situation was understandable but this is not the situation most of us have a problem with.

Was he loved and cared for? Was he missed and mourned when he passed?

The little boy I tuck into bed each night. The fact that I have another on the way, which only took one attempt.

I should not be as virile as I am considering my poor health, but like I said, to go from nothing to something with no change in circumstance...it's a miracle.

Believe what you want but I got proof laying in his crib.

My argument is for these pro choicers to fight to change to where situations are evaluated. This blanket “everyone should have a choice” idea is bullshite. I don’t think a irresponsible 23 year old should get an abortion because she hasn’t finished John Jay beauty school yet. The VAST majority of abortions, upwards of 93% are done for selfish or irresponsible reasons. Not because the baby would suffer or be born with a horrible quality of life. That’s what I’m arguing. The my body my choice argument is fricking dumb.

Responding with “well what percentage is it?” or “let’s talk about the majority” is casting it aside

The OP posted about aborting his unborn, sick daughter. Many were sympathetic, some were not. Some alluded to the fact that this case is understandable, but most of us really despise women who obtain abortions out of convenience.

So - with reasoning skills - those who are sympathetic to the OP would probably be sympathetic to a rape case.

There is no way to know if that was Yahweh, Jesus, Rah, Oden, or something else entirely.

Again, how do you know it was Jesus and not one of the 4000 other gods? What objective proof do you have?

My heart breaks for you and your wife being forced to make the decision. I can’t support the decision but I can support the two of you and offer you my sympathy and prayers. I’m truly sorry for your pain.

I experienced multiple (many) miscarriages over a 2 year span and we ultimately decided to adopt. It’s painful and scary but our lives have been so blessed since we adopted our son almost 15 years ago.
