From watching the video in that tweet I can see why they don't want "media" in there.

You have all of these out of town activists there trying to stir up shite for clicks and clout. They dgaf about the dead kids or families of Uvalde. They want a divided country and to ban guns.

We saw the same thing after the Charleston church shooting. The community wanted to handle it amongst themselves, even ready to forgive and move forward, but the media and politicians interjected themselves to start a race war and ban the Dukes of Hazzard.

I have noticed almost every tweet shared by the habitual thread starters is from a fricking LGBTQ Antifa Anit-Gun account. Sadly the thread starters are too lazy or stupid to realize this and are just serving as their useful idiots.

The cops fricked up. Hold them accountable. But quit pushing the communist agenda.

This is the bio for the tweet shared on the OP:

“The ignorance of one voter in a democracy impairs the security of all." #ProDemocracy???? #ProChoice???? #LGBTQAlly?????? #AntiFascism??#AntiGQP??

Most of the threads started have links to actual articles from news outlets with actual, verifiable shite regarding how terribly this incident was handled from top to bottom.

ETA: I don't give a damn about whatever perceived fight you have in this. I hope the articles keep coming until every single person who failed those kids has been outed.

It’s a valid point about at least some the Uvalde threads or similar that are based only an individual’s tweet (versus tweet linked to news or post with direct news link where we at least can know something about news organization including quality or bias). I have seen it before with Uvalde posts. I haven’t been able to watch full video yet and don’t know about this one (subject just made me think about the newly sworn member of the council), but the leftavists don’t care about finding out who failed the kids. Most are employees one way or the other of Soros or similar. I could less if they get kicked out for causing trouble, but they probably have also taken advantage of some actual grieving families who may be around them and shouldn’t get kicked out at the same time.

They’re not intimidated. They don’t want to answer for their complete failure of duty and inevitable multi million dollar lawsuits.

While I understand and agree with proper decorum, some of that goes out the window with the complete malfeasance that encompassed this event.

Some level of outrage should be expected at every meeting about this.

Journalists and parents are kicked out of the Uvalde City Council meeting because the council feels “intimidated” by their presence.

Who kicked them out? The cops?

They could have told those cops no. What would the cowards do?

As I asked on the PB thread, isn't there a Texas Open Meetings Act?

This shite needs to stop. The city councils, school boards, etc. should feel that way. This feigning being scared shite every time someone shows up expecting them to do their fricking jobs and holding them accountable is just a cover to try to avoid conflict and having to answer for the horse shite job they do. They work for the people. Period.

They are no different than floppers in basketball, or Taylor Lorenz getting "doxed". Except worse. Can you imagine having to answer to the community about what happened with the murder of children in a public school, and your first instinct is to avoid the confrontation because you can't handle hostility?!

A great question would be....WHY does a 'school district' have its' own POLICE FORCE ? Are they paid w/ school district funds ? Are they properly 'trained' {like city/county/state police depts.} ?

Does Texas have a public open meetings law?

yes, unless personnel matters are being discussed salary/hiring/firing which will probably be their excuse , but that BS since it has to be posted

but Uvalda in an absolute shitshow

the County Judge has emergency power if one( emergency) is declared which at this point should be , cause law enforcement has no moral authority at this point

They should have just locked the doors, then the cops wouldn't have been able to do anything.

They can't kick anyone out. They should have made them use force to remove them because a city council meeting is supposed to be open to the public. They are discussing things that involve that community, their budget comes from the tax payers..

frick how they feel. Its the job they wanted. The local politics shite pissed me off more than anything because that's where voters have the biggest impact and can make the most difference. I assume the city council are all elected officials. They are all paid by tax dollars. They have no right to kick out journalist. The parents either, but at the very least journalist have every right to be there to question things. Its part of checks and balance of government. If they don't like it then they can resign or not run for re-election, but frick them. They could have stayed there and if they were forced to leave they could file a lawsuit.
