Blames her affluent constituents for her ineptitude. How people with means to leave NOLA remain is beyond me?

Guessing she didn't comment on the status of pump and generation stations in NOLA while her trap was flapping?

I'm kind of torn. Cantrell sucks, a lot, but the city also has to learn to live with water and quit relying so much on pipes and pumps. Those systems are what got Lakeview into it's current predicament. The more you pump, the more you drain the groundwater, the more you sink, the more it fricks up the pipes, the more you flood, rinse and repeat.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t City Park part of Mid City as well?

I think the IRS knocked it down to hardly anything. Talk about another USELESS mayor. You think it can't get worse each election but nope. They do.

That's exactly what you give them money every month to do. They get and have the money to develop and maintain an adequate drainage system. They simply aren't doing their damn jobs. Yet, they'll beg for more money every chance they get.

Imagine living in a place below sea level and then complaining about the pumps

So per the article: Cantrell blames Lakeview, Lakeview blames City Park, and City Park blames Cantrell.

"And she added that the city has "developed plans to shift this funding to other high priority areas". I wonder what she could have meant by that.

I pray every morning and every night that this blows up in her face and she gets busted by locals and feds for a scandal involving this little pet project.

I noticed Nola.com is maybe the only news site to not include the D or R next to a politician’s name in an article. I guess that’s because it’s New Orleans and we can assume everyone in the article would have a D for Dumbass next to their name and they don’t want to highlight that fact.

The funds will be re-directed to St Roch, East Gentilly, and her own pocket.

There's not a single elected Republican in the city of New Orleans to my knowledge.

So they all agreed that more time was needed to get the project underway, city park has not agreed on it, then destroya releases a statement slamming everybody for all agreeing with their delay. Is that about it?
