I’m 100% in government securities (TSP). While I’m not making anything, I’m also not losing either.
My two homes on the other hand have turned me into a real estate millionaire.

I am fortunate. I am at an age where I don’t need to look. If any of you Baws are over 60, cheers to you and I wish you luck.

Can’t get destroyed if you don’t have one

I have easily lost 20-25% of my 401k balance since January 1.
I’m trying to not think about it.

Yet this country will continue to vote in people like Joe Biden. As far as I am concerned, there needs to be a revolution of some sort... not necessarily an armed insurrection. More like every Senator and Congressman needs to be told no longer have a job and we start over.

Yes it is. YTD I’m down almost 20%. These bastards don’t care about us though.

Reminder: if you are within 2-3 years of a financial goal, you should plan your risk accordingly (ie, less stock exposure).

Wrong! Shows what you know. I don't have one!

Myabe for you losers, I'm playing the Lotto for my retirement...

Thanks for your concern. I’m 63, retired, and down a lot despite not being aggressive. Just have to hang in there. Still haven’t touched SS. Trying to wait until 70 for that.

only dumb*sses.
In December, the signs (war, inflation, interest rates, labor and supply shortages, etc) were screaming at us to get out of the market. Those who didn't listen are either ignorant or greedy.

All is going to plan for Joe Biden and his voters. This is exactly what they wanted.

Down 6.6% today.
I'm buying to the bottom, brah.

Might have to bump the old target retirement date from 2055 to 2065 on my funds

It's the democrats plan, and I lived too long to see it come to fruition.
I was hoping to retire in less than 2 years, but I'm guessing now that is out the window.

Luckily for me I have never had a penny in a 401k.
Posted on 6/13/22 at 3:45 pm to Allthatfades
I am three years out 85% bonds/securities, 10% bonds and 5% equities. I have lost 9% so far.
It isn't great but I am hoping dollar cost averaging and three years helps.

I am retiring in 3 weeks but I also took everything out of all my 401k plans about 16 months ago. Invested into something that has a floor. Happy I did.
