Sounds like more stimulus checks for everyone.

That incompetent idiot should be fired for insulting everybody's intelligence.

Navarro and Kudlow were busy applying economics to Covid cures. Someone should of called an importer

It’s not just here either. I just spent time in Italy and overheard multiple Italians complaining about the government paying people to stay home and cursing socialism. They can’t find workers.

It’s pretty easy to sit here on 6/1/22 after months of record inflation and say we all saw it coming… the reality is most of us knew it was a potential concern, but had no idea it would be like this. Granted, it’s not our job it know like Yellen.

Just think the monday morning QBing of the inflation issue is a little overboard.

This is the woman who threw out negative interest rates in her confirmation hearing. She belongs behind the reception desk at the local public library

ETA: wasn't in confirmation hearing, my bad. But she did say it

Dude, plenty of people on this board have been calling it. There were rampant jokes about Yelen and the idiots in charge dismissing it as "transitory inflation" because everyone knew months ago that was a lie.

Imagine defending Yelen and the idiots in charge like you are doing.

Any private company would fire someone who failed that badly. In DC, they get lauded.

Anyone with a mundane understanding of basic economics could see this coming from a mile away.

Anyone who studied finance and economics saw this coming a mile away. And she all but dismissed it as a chance. I guess Brown and Yale were too busy politically indoctrinating her to teach her economics.

Nobody believes she didn’t know. The actual story is more like she knew but in order to reduce mass panic on short supply economy we have to ease a bit at a time and she’s playing ignorant and will continue to raise slowly

how refreshing would it be for politicians and bureaucrats to genuinely admit fault on a regular basis. It would probably take the tone of the country down a couple notches

This is not Monday morning QBing. People have been sky screaming about this forever. You can't just print money with reckless abandon. And the line about her underestimating supply chain issues, also bull. If you work in any job requiring parts, alarm bells have been going off for quite a while. Have you looked at cars recently? Real estate? Trends are a thing.

It's literally her ONLY job.

When did all of the OT Econ experts see it coming?… 12 months ago? By the time we all knew it was a serious issue it was too late. That’s not an excuse… the people who are paid to know were late to respond.

I don’t think we all understood just what a clusterfrick restarting the economy was going to be… it’s gonna take yrs to work itself out, and may never get back to 2019 output.

Then you should be fired. But when you work in Gov and have no accountability you don't fricking care. Run the Gov like a business and this shite goes away. But that's too logical I know.
