If Crews had initially been called out, would the review have overturned the call?

They said it was confirmed so I believe so.

No, call on the field wouldve stood IMO

Difficult to say. Hard to understand how he didn't tag him in the torso area but you clearly see the tag in the crotch area after his hand touches the plate. Did it brush his jersey? I don't know but I'm glad they called him safe not that we wouldn't have won anyway.

It was confirmed. So yes, obviously. There was no question he was safe according to the umps

None of the replays were in as good of a position nor had the proper angle as the Home Plate Ump. So its a tossup BUT they’d likely (99%) have let the call on the field stand.
That said Crews was safe, the Catcher didn't make the tag initially until Crews was touching home plate.

No. That was the best video of a close play I’ve seen in a while. Showed the fingers across the plate before the tag.

Depends on if they meant confirmed or just used the word without thinking about the difference in stands and confirmed

I believe I see Crews flex his chest muscles to avoid the tag, thus making his own jersey ruffle as the glove misses him.

Everyone is focusing on this angle…
And ignoring this one…
He’s clearly safe. There is plenty of space between the glove and his jersey/body.

I noticed it as well. The "jersey control" Crews displayed there will be taught at baseball camps everywhere!

They said the call was confirmed which means the replay showed that the tag was after he touched home.
If the ump would have said call stands then I would agree with what you are saying.

Ive just seen them stick with a call when its even close to questionable, so thats what i assume here

Yes, the confirmed the correct call was made. They didn’t just leave the call because it wasn’t clear enough.
Crews was safe; the replay clearly shows this from multiple angles.

The damn ump needed to clean off home plate all night.

Thank you, I kept wondering why the broadcast was going back to the bad view and only teased the good one twice or so. I said out as I watched it, but props to that ump, great call. And yeah home plate was so dirty I stopped questioning balls and strikes because who the hell can tell.
