Would be better than being 16 seed matched with Tennessee

So our first game in Hoover, if chalk holds, would be Auburn. Then, Tennessee. Win those two and we're guaranteed to host.

But as some said, I want the easiest path to Omaha, and the situation he laid out is that path. Beat USM, then get revenge on Aggie, the lowest national seed.

CJJ first Omaha team at Arizona was on the road, a game shy of the title. And we've seen these Tigers wreck shop on the road.

Hell, both of Cranford’s shots yesterday would have left that bandbox.

Nah. We host even if we get blown out two straight in Hoover.

But I tell you what, I wouldn’t mind that Hattiesburg draw at all.

But Matt Moscona said a host was a lock…

You would think 17 wins in conference would say that we would host. D1 is usually pretty accurate. I think if we beat war eagle we would be a lock but who knows.

I’ve had Aaron and Kendall on in the last month. Both have made it known they believe the committee will look at RPI very, very heavily

see that makes no sense giving how funky the RPI is this year

I still think the SEC will get about 5 host sites.
Tennessee, Arkansas, 8&4 and LSU are probably already in. If some other team like Georgia gets hot in the tournament, they could get one as well.

We could potentially play Vandy again. Possibly 3 games vs top 10 RPI teams.

It doesn’t make sense, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t what the committee will do. I don’t think they’d give a host spot to Auburn over Arkansas, but I could easily see them giving regionals to USM and Ga Southern based on RPI. The rest of the hosts make sense based on both RPI and conference record/standing (though maybe not the seeding).

I get it, but the committee is a buncha fricking tards and/or lazy bastards if they straight up seed based on RPI and essentially nothing else.

Moscona seems to think we are already a regional host lock.[/quote]

And they have Auburn as the 10 seed hosting - WTF?

But they’ve done that quite a bit in the past. If we can get our RPI inside of 20, I’ll feel a lot more confident.

Wild to see Arkansas fall from National Seed to not hosting.

I get that but the RPI this year is funky with what teams are in the top 25.

in terms of conference RPI, its SEC>ACC>B12>P12, but somehow SEC only gets 3 hosts? ACC gets 5 hosts, Big12 gets 2, PAC12 gets 3? while CUSA gets 1 and sun belt gets 1?

not to mention that TCU is the big12 champ with an RPI at 34.

and Georgia Southern with on 6 Q1 wins?

Look I agree with you but no one knows what the committee will do. All you can really go off of is past history.

"Nothing more than an aTm fan site now."

AtlantaLSUfan has it right. They talk to Hunt, they talk to Matt and every third sentence is Texas A&M this Texas A&M that. One agenda they have and it is to do all they can to help their team.
