BRo, I paid $65 cash for shitty Ben E Keith mexiacan food last night, and there’s a similar restaurant every fkn 200 yds in NWLA. Terrible but then ol likes that shite sometimes.

Bet you were at The Galley?
That was my thought as well, but his bill would have been much higher if that were the place. Their pricing is one of the few places that annoys the hell out of me.

Yeah you probably do need to just stay home. Either than or eat at the TGIFriday's or Chili's special price menu
We order water mostly to keep from drinking sodas. We don't buy sodas at home either.

I'm the same way but dining out is very different now. You are paying more, getting less, and restaurants are not staffed/trained to give you great service

Same. I try to avoid going to restaurants too. Vagina is the only reason I go to restaurants

Too expensive to do much of anything these days since we prioritized being safe from mean tweets over economic competency.

Damn, everyone on the O-T is rich as hell until a Democratic president gets elected and then no one can even afford their first time going out to eat in months

We had lunch today at Cajun Steamers in Trussville. It was my wife, daughter MIL, and myself. My wife and I had the catfish Pontchartrain, daughter had shrimp & grits, MIL had some sort of chicken salad. We all had water to drink. Total bill with tip was over $90.

rarely go out to eat anymore. The prices are ridiculous
My problem is, I find the quality isn’t worth the price. As I get older, I feel like I can cook as good a meal and make as good (or better) a cocktail than most restaurants I visit. Unless it’s something like Greek food or Sushi. But for everyday fare- it’s just not worth the money. And hassle.!

Saltgrass the other day- 2 iced teas and one soda. One rib plate, a soup and salad, and a chicken sandwich was around $70-80 after tip.
Lunch the next day at a diner was $22 each for a meat plus 2 and a pie per person plus same drinks - was $80-90 after tip.
30 piece nuggets, med fry, and an unsweetened tea at Chick-fil-A to split between 2 people was $22.
Yep food is expensive so you should not eat out. The above is just quick road trip meals not destination dinners.

WTF?
This is extremely disrespectful.
Sorry not all of us rather be out spending money (especially in this economy) when we enjoy cooking at home and enjoying it with our families

shocker.
Gravi is still trying to act like inflation is transitory.

Inflation is never transitory. Prices always go up.
I just don't blindly believe unsourced virtue signaling on social media.

$80 for three people at a sit down place ain't that unreasonable
Nah…sandwiches and etoufee are both cheap food. That is a little high IMO.

Yeah that would run you about $60 at the chimes or parrains

Oh it was ridiculous. Highest rated place in a small Texas town. It was packed. I was happy to get a table. And the homemade pie was huge (no one ate their whole piece) and delicious but the menu price was very wtf.
