With the hard right lean on this board I know a lot of you will hate on Patton Oswald. I met him in New Orleans when he was doing a set later that night (me and a buddy were going to that show so just lucky we met him before). Stopped on the corner and shot the shite with him for 5 minutes. Genuinely thanked us for coming to the show later and was very nice and grateful. We found out later he had been at port o call slamming whiskey and he was drunk as shite when we met him because he talked about it in his set (not us meeting him but the fact he was slamming whiskey at port o call). I'll always be a fan of polite drunk people.

Jeff Foxworthy is as nice as anybody you’d ever meet….celebrity or not.

I got no doubt Patton is nice to his fans, but the way that dude backtracked on his friendship with Chappelle due to the trans shite made him look like such a bitch that I would never want to speak with him if I saw him.
Politics aside, how can you publicly apologize for being friends with Chapelle? What a bitch.

John C Reilly came to my friend's poker game during the filming of Talladega Nights. Super cool. I sent him back to his hotel with a bud. ![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/IconPimp.gif)

I love his quotes on Letterman from back in the day. Letterman always asked him to set up the clip of the movie he was on promoting, and Depp never could do it- on any of his appearances. Once Dave asked him if he had seen his movies, and he said "once I'm done doing my job, it's really none of my business" or something close to that.

I was in the Past time lounge eating a burger with my friend. I was sitting with my back to the wall. We were the only folks in there as it had only just opened. The door opened up and I saw someone walk in with a full length fur coat on with a guy in a suit behind her.
It was Joan Rivers and she stopped in to get something to eat. It was just kind of odd seeing here there. We walked up and said hello and she was just an incredibly nice lady, very personable.

I agree with this. He's a sharp guy, too- in that he knew how to beat the studios at their own game. He was never willing to sell off his personal integrity in order to get work in Hollywood. Sure seems like it worked out well for him
What’s the story there?

Brad Leland is a good ol' baw. Played a round of golf with he and two of his HS buddies I got randomly paired with. Made it through half a round riding around in a cart together before his buddies let slip he was famous. I didn't watch FNL, so I had no clue who he was. Not a bad golfer, either.

I saw Ryan Gosling at a grocery store in Los Angeles yesterday. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything. He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?” I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Milky Ways in his hands without paying.
The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter.
When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.

I had dinner with Larry the Cable Guy back around 2011 at Horseshoe Casino in Shreveport after his show. Real cool guy. The accent he uses for his stage character is fake. Down to earth and easy to talk to individual. He had plenty of stories to tell.
