I have no idea what the hell this is saying
quote:

she was escorting inmate White to the courthouse for a mental health evaluation. After dropping the inmate off with other deputies, Officer White said she was going to seek medical attention for herself because she wasn't feeling well.

Around 3:30 p.m., the booking officer attempted to contact Officer White with no luck and her phone was going straight to voicemail. They also discovered inmate White never returned to the jail. Officials said they began investigating "aggressively."

Officials said the officer and the inmate never showed up to the courthouse

How did she drop him off with other officers then end up back with him. Without ever going to the courthouse.

Edit

After reading the article, they definitely ran off together or she's hiding this guy. Crazy

Someone didnt read the article.

Clearly stated that ‘they are not related’…. Seems fairly obvious that they ran off together.. if you read the article .

Authorities said Deputy Vicki White, who serves as assistant director of corrections and is not related to the inmate, was transporting him to the courthouse for what she said told co-workers was a mental health evaluation.

Singleton said there was no mental health evaluation for the inmate scheduled at the courthouse.

I was thinking she was dead, but yea, they ran off. What an idiot.

Yep. They gone. That was pretty obvious from the start. The question now is, does he actually want/need her? How long does he stick with her or keep her around?

And if she did help him escape, with her position and knowing what she knows, and he winds up killing her, I can't really have much sympathy for her. If there was any one individual who would know exactly what she was dealing with in a person like that, it would be her.

They weren't supposed to. The woman, the deputy chief of corrections, knew the policy. It was her job to know the policy. She willfully neglected to follow that policy, and apparently told multiple lies in the process.

The Blue Alert went out on my phone tonight about this. He is 6'6" and 252 lbs. They sent a woman, by herself, to transport him.

There was no "they" to it. That woman sent herself. She had the authority. She arranged the transport, if it was ever even a legitimate transport to begin with, and she ignored every policy in place for such a transport.

It seems weird that they only had one deputy transporting a capital murder suspect. Seems like a situation for a two man job.

Exactly.

Obviously planned. She probably had another car stashed at the shopping center where they found her car. Halfway to Brownsville right now.

Because this was planned out by both of them.
