To the “it’s just baseball” and “it’s just one game” crowd

Please stop posting that BS here for the remainder of the season. Friday and Saturday are the perfect example of why that Thursday game was such an unmitigated disaster.
We went from being 2 innings away from being 4-0 on this road trip and carrying that momentum into the final 2 games, to losing every bit of mojo we had going and getting shitpumped by 2
Halfass pitchers. In this sport teams have to take advantage of opportunities like that.
This sucks.

Who said anything about skip or JJ? To believe that a coach should be judged after the first half of his first season is insanity.

Game 1 was a huge let down and set the tone for the series. But there are a lot of posters and posts made each day stating Jay is not the answer or wanting Jay to be fired that’s where the defense comes in cause it hasn’t even been a full year and there will be series we lose we should have won and series we win where we should have lost. That is baseball.

Well it is.
Does it suck? Yes but Johnson hasn't even had one full year and hasn't brought in a recruiting class.
Give the guy at least one full year before you go into meltdown mode.

LSU has the 4th best atmosphere and fan support in the sec west. This team is as top heavy as it gets. And the current coach hasn’t had time to bring in a recruiting class.
The program is sadly a multi year rebuild.

There are so many examples that show getting swept really doesn't doom your season. Some I'm familiar with:
'17 Auburn swept UF
'21 Arky swept State
In '97, in 3 of our last 4 regular season SEC games we lost by a combined score of 7-50.

There were still two other games. As far as it giving us momentum, I guess sure, but the next game always starts 0-0.

LSU is talent wise a jr college team. Seriously and that’s with the studs JJ brought with him. Imagine this line up and pitching staff if pawl gave it another go.

Great teams shine through and after adversity. One can’t just say “oh well this sent us on a bad path, or “if not for that bad inning/game.” Especially in a sport with as many games as baseball, you find out who you are, one can take out the highest of highs and lowest of lows in order to best judge.
