We should just stick them all on treadmills on their bikes, then they wouldn’t bother anyone

make no effort to move to the side so the line of cars piled up behind can safely move by.

While cyclists have as much right to the road as motor vehicles, it is still illegal to impede traffic. You can't just do 30 mph on a highway and block traffic. That goes for motor vehicles as well. By law, cyclists are required to pull over and let cars pass.

And they love blowing through stop signs, red lights, and going the wrong way down one way streets.

This is the worst. They come to a stop light and pass every car that is stopped. And then we all have to go around their asses again. Drives me fricking nuts. Obey the fricking traffic laws you pretentious fricks.

welcome! Not sure why vehicles that travel at 60+ mph are forced to share our roads with a vehicle that tops out at 20

I always hear this, but genuine question — how / why is that? You have to be licensed to drive a car, the car must be registered (tax money grab mostly), and have insurance.

If they want the “equal right to the road” (particularly main highways), shouldn’t there be some form of registration, knowledge of traffic laws, potentially insurance required?

I’ve never seen them stop at a stop sign. Ever.

I don't care about any of this, especially if it helps the flow of traffic.

I've been hit by cars on my bike 3 times - every single time I was abiding by the law. frick that.

I had one of these assholes make eye contact right before he blatantly pulled out in front of me. I had to come on the brakes hard to avoid hitting him. Someone less attentive than myself behind the wheel would have hammered him into the ditch.

why is that?

Because roads are for vehicular traffic, and bicycles are considered vehicles. Just because you're in a car doesn't mean you own the road.

And yes, bicycles require registration in most municipalities.
