No way, it is a great tradition that has been started there at LSU. But the team just needs to vote or start picking the right players to wear and honor the jerseys. The last few picks were not good choices imo.

18 should be reserved for a senior who sticks around and shows the true heart of lsu

Yes, No. 18 should be worn by a veteran player that shows the true grit, heart, and character of a Tiger player. While No. 7 should be worn by the best DB period.

Because this board is home to some of the most idiotic fans in all of college sports. Imagine getting so worked up over a number on a jersey decided on by the players.
Hell, there are people on here who are still convinced that Stingley had a major surgery that took months of rehab just so he didn't have to play for LSU. You are dealing with this kind of stupid.
