This is the single greatest shot filmed in television history. It's completely real, it's NOT a green-screen. One chance, and if James Burke had missed, there would have been no chance of a re-shoot.

Taken from Connections(1978), Episode 8, "Eat, Drink and be Merry". Copyright BBC, starring James Burke.

It's pretty cool, but it's no Caddyshack 2.

Go watch the burning of Atlanta scene in Gone with the Wind. They depicted the burning of Atlanta by buning down the set of King Kong. The big structure that fell while Rhett covered the horse's head was the big gates in King Kong. The whole scene was one take.

A rocket taking off from a known location and time is the greatest shot in television history? Cut for him to stand where thousands have stood to watch?

What?

No
