Hey we're at where we're at, and I'm excited about where we're going. But Wade changed LSU Bball for the better.

Would love a link to this.

How can something they have LITERALLY zero proof of turn into any violation? I understand there is no presumption of innocence in NCAA proceedings, but they can't just create violations out of thin air with nothing to go off of.
It is LITERALLY one of the Level 1 violations in the NOA sent to LSU.
quote:

He was paying FMV. Zion got a million dollar house plus 400k. Wade wasn't throwing those figures around.
He never got a Zion level recruit, but was offering $300k to others. Not all 5 stars are equal.

FYI, the violation for not producing records:

quote:

It is alleged that, from the beginning of the NCAA investigation into the above allegations
and continuing to the present, Will Wade (Wade), head men's basketball coach, violated
the NCAA principles of ethical conduct and failed to cooperate in the investigation of
Allegation Nos. 4 through 8, as well as a number of other allegations the CCU was ultimately unable to substantiate fully, when he refused to produce all records the CCU requested from him.

Guy couldn't coach his way out of a wet paper bag. Sure the other programs you mentioned have top tier players, but they also have top tier coaches to go along with them.

He had one of the best offenses in the country 3 times in his last 4 years, and a top 3 defense in the country in his last year.

He lets his guys play. Just because you don't understand how basketball has changed from 30 years ago doesn't mean Will wade was a bad coach.

Look at the current roster and what recruits were coming in. He may have as early as next year.

Stop coping.

The Wade fanboys are the Wade haters. Nobody’s more obsessed with Will Wade than posters who bash him. These are miserable people looking for an outlet to place their vitriol. While most fans have moved on and care about LSU having success these people need Wade threads like a crackhead needs his fix.
Gotta say you've nailed it.
To me it's this: They need Wade threads like CNN needs Trump.

Exactly. The guy cared so much about the program he was literally paying players out of his own pocket.

He had no help here in the beginning. That clearly changed after the Naz Reid class, that's why there was nothing in any report after that class.

The guy rebuilt what the two previous coaches managed to tear down. Just had to do it on his own to start and got too sloppy.

Wade helped build what this program has the potential to become in short order. I’m very appreciative of him. Can’t stand seeing posters constantly shitting on the dude, but it’s tRant, what more should we expect?

He would have had one of the most talented rosters in the country. Good chance to go to the final Four

I actually liked Wade a lot but I'll never understand this perspective that's around here. This was a talented but seriously flawed team. Absolutely doesn't get further than the second round no matter what.

I’m talking about the 2022-2023 roster. Would have probably been his most talented, with depth on par with the 2018-2019 team.

Get ready for the following responses:

They play street ball and don’t run any “plays.”

(Despite some of the best offensive efficiency rankings in the country in his first 4 years)

They don’t play defense.

(Despite having one of the highest defensive efficiency ratings in the country this year)

No just because everyone else does it doesn’t mean Wade should’ve been retained. If landing elite recruits and taking the risks to get them brings this kind of trouble it’s a hard pass for me because you don’t need em to win. There are plenty of examples of good teams who win in March that don’t have elite prospects on the roster. Give me a good 3-4 year college basketball player over a prospect any day.
Madking: I don't often agree with you, but I do on this post.

Getting 5*s requires recruiting risk and, like you, I'd rather target very good players who will be here for 3-4 years, but not the 5*s, who will most often leave after a year or two.

We can still have big success here with that model.

Every single team in the final four pays for elite talent.

That doesn't cut it if you want to win the whole thing.

Naz Reid's gf was a lose wire and all it would take would be someone saying Wade was making recruiting texts to prospects when he shouldn't and the request for phone records would have come and Wade would be busted.

How are we supposed to move on when this stupidity is being posted. You have literally not a clue of which you speak.

You're just figuring this out now.

Did the 1 NCAAT win over 5 years factor into your discovery?

Lol
