Have been on a Foo Fighters discography binge this past week. Damn.
Apparently they are in Colombia on tour and he was found dead.

That dude is one of my musical heroes and one of the reasons I ever sat down behind a drum kit to learn.

This is a massive bummer and I hope his wife and kids take solace in knowing the joy and inspiration he brought to millions.

I obviously feel horrible for Taylor’s family and the band. But Dave…losing Kurt and now Taylor. Devastating.

No worry, Grohl will absolutely make this all about himself

Oh yeah?

How do you suppose he’s going to do that?

Well that sucks.

One of my favorites.

On his drumming for Alanis Morissette:

RIP Taylor Hawkins.
Talented musician.
We met outside of HOB after sonic highways. We spoke briefly.
You will be remembered.

Man. Dude was always solid. Was just watching a video the other day where Dave pulled a fan up to play drums to Queen/Bowie's "Under Pressure" (which he nailed) and Taylor sang it.

What a drag. Rip.

I am still reeling over the loss of Chris Cornell. Sorry to see this.

Wouldn’t be surprised to see Dave tap Soundgarden/Audioslave drummer Matt Cameron.

RIP

Dave may be the most modest person in music, but when you wake up tomorrow you'll still be an idiot.

Holy chit! Was literally just watching him on Youtube!

Me too except he was subbed for by an 11 year old young lady who was phenomenal by the way. Crazy!

Yeah, like when he made demos on his own instead of using his former band to promote it. Or grilling to feed firefighters in CA.

frick. I loved this man. Every time he started wailing on the drums and had the hair flying around, I always pictured Animal from the Muppets and it makes my heart happy

Man. that sucks. He was a great drummer and always seemed to be having a blast. I know he was once in a coma and almost died from drugs. Maybe he relapsed or something.

This is terrible. RIP

I know it’s inappropriate to ask so I apologize in advance but how did he die so suddenly?

He wrote in his autobiography last year that Taylor is his best friend. Obviously he was just setting things up so he could reap the sympathy points for being the guy with a dead best friend. He probably ordered the hit on him in the first place, damn shame
