Reflects the areas that you can’t afford to live. Big cities are too expensive and rural areas have been killed off due to burdens imposed by legislatures. Suburbs are the sweet spot

Actually no. Idaho has seen a massive swing to right leaning politicians recently. Most of the transplants to Idaho are conservatives fleeing the batshit insane statists in California.

Every county in the Atlanta MSA but 3(Fulton, DeKalb, Clayton) gained population. Atlanta, as always, experiencing exceptional growth.

My home county(Butler) is one of only 2 in Western/SW Pennsylvania to gain population. Washington County is the other.

I think you just might be seeing conservatives leaving liberal cities. Which means urban areas will get more liberal while rural areas will get more conservative.
