Probably. But for now, they are the best of the best and deserve the awards and recognition. Imagine if Kim Mulkey went through next season as the consensus #1, with only one or two losses, then was snubbed for coach of the year because they gave it to the #10 team that improved a lot.

Want to bet they don’t win the Natty? If they don’t are they “clearly” the best team in the nation? They lost to a Mizzou team that can shoot from the perimeter and LSU took them to the wire. They have great athletes but they lack in the back court. This tournament is won with guard play. Period

Absolutely, if that coach takes a team that won 9 games the year before and has them as a 2 seed in the NCAA tourney while finishing 2nd overall in the SEC with a loss to SC by 6 (in a game they led for a large portion). The better question would be - would Mulkey have lost a game with a team as talented as South Carolina? Sure, Staley recruited them but Kim clearly did the best coaching job in the SEC this season. Surely you're just trying to be a contrarian because it's pretty damn obvious that KM should've won this award. Your comment basically states that no coach should win COY that doesn't win the conference. That's just silly.

Yea, this statement shows that you don't watch much women's basketball. Their backcourt is perhaps ONLY second to ours.....................may be equal to ours. Cook and Henderson are VERY good................

I hope by some minor miracle that she kicks Staley and South Cacky Wacky's asses, and then finds a way to lift up and lead her hard playing, overachieving LSU team to win it all. That would be a story! Stick that in the newspapers. Lol
