As a result of russia not being able to achieve quick success on the battlefield, he implemented a strategy of terrorizing the Ukrainian population with missiles to break their will. Kyiv was first struck in June 2022.
By the winter of 2022-2023 there were large missile strikes resulting in much of Ukraine losing power. He hoped the timing would result in maximum terror effect due to winter conditions. During this time one tactic for implementing this terrorism strategy was targeting substations and distribution nodes. The Ukrainians did not fold and this tactic had limited success due to 2 things. First, the arrival of Patriots and other air defense systems. Secondly, the Ukrainians were supplied with generators and were able to repair their grid.
Something else to consider related to Putin's initial miscalculation. He did not anticipate the need for a large number of long range missiles to conquer Ukraine.
I remember around mid 2022 when Putin first targeted civilians with missiles that it was reported that russia had certain numbers of missiles stockpiled and some speculation as to how long they would last. Some time after that we started seeing reports that russia was ramping up new missile production which would allow them to increase the attacks. Recently Ukrainians have retrieved evidence from shot down missiles that the missiles are newly manufactured. So I think they have successfully increased their production and it is a matter of increased supply on hand.
Mate, you could easily write for the AP, NYT, or WP with the way you pepper bias in every other sentence

I hear he's feathering his nest in Tel Aviv. It's going to be disgusting seeing him feted as some Mandela-like figure for the next 40 years.

No just factual. Russian terrorism and targeting civilians are documented. They are recognized as state sponsors of terrorism.
Following the atrocities carried out by Vladimir Putin’s regime against Ukrainian civilians, MEPs have recognised Russia as a state sponsor of terrorism.
On Wednesday, Parliament adopted a resolution on the latest developments in Russia’s brutal war of aggression against Ukraine. MEPs highlight that the deliberate attacks and atrocities committed by Russian forces and their proxies against civilians in Ukraine, the destruction of civilian infrastructure and other serious violations of international and humanitarian law amount to acts of terror and constitute war crimes. In light of this, they recognise Russia as a state sponsor of terrorism and as a state that “uses means of terrorism”.

Getting used to walking with prosthetics took a lot of work from both Yana and her mother.
“When I took my first steps with prosthetics, it felt surreal. I could not believe I could walk again after a long time in a wheelchair,” Yana told the Kyiv Independent.
“When I first started wearing the prosthetics, they were very heavy. It was just unusual for me that I couldn't immediately run or jump on my feet like I used to,” she says.

It's in my post - the EU parliament. The US senate has also passed a resolution. Another resolution has been introduced in the house but Moscow Mike will not put it up for a vote.

None of this indicates some evidence of a Putin grand scheme to invade Europe and defeat the West through arms.
Not all of Europe... reclaiming the pre-1989 Satellite states... he thinks they belong to him and never should've been lost. Who knows if East Germany fits into that... Poland certainly seems to.

12 meters that is almost 40 feet of flood water. I bet those plant baws are rushing to get stuff up as high as they can and get sandbags around the rest. Flood water cannot be good for the equipment used to build the BMPs.
That's above any overhead crane. Plant baws already ran or swam to high ground. They aren't going to be moving any machine tools. They MIGHT have moved some portable welding machines.
Imagine how anything powered by electricity is totally fricked and precision surfaces will be covered in rust when the water recedes
