Mid 40’s anytime I have to do manual labor. I just finished putting in about 75ft of french drain and I’ve been sore for a couple days now. And I even rented a trencher to do the hardest part!

It was when I went to jump over somewhat large puddle of standing water so I wouldn't get my shoes wet. When I did so suddenly my body didn't react the way it always did. It felt like I barely got off the ground at all. In my mind I was just going to jump like I always had, but my body had different plans.

It has been a (thankfully) slow descent from there.

33 when sports related injuries no longer cured themselves over night.

A pulled back went from 3-4 weeks to 4-6 months.

38. I started sleeping like shite and just felt old. Creaky, muscles hurt etc. There really is something to be said for eating healthy, moving your body, getting in the sun and sleeping well. It's a world of difference when that all falls in line. The only problem is, is making all that happen ALL the time.

I barfed after 4.5 beers the other night. Granted, I mixed types and they were all strong, but looking at the burst capillaries around my eyes for days really made me aware of my mortality.

List:
Random Hazy IPA
Tin Roof King Cake Cream Ale
Jucifer
Some Asian sugary IPA
Ole Mad Joy Porter

Barf

im 40 now and still feel fit as a fiddle. no major injuries, still as strong if not stronger than when younger. no aches and pains. wits are still sharp. run on 4-6 hours of nightly sleep.

maybe in my sex drive. not nearly as much as a horn dog. me and the mrs still get it on 1-2 times a week.

i consider myself very luck thus far.

EDIT: after reading another post i do admit my eyes sight is somewhat poorer now. I have a pair of reading glasses that i rarely have to bust out at night.
