I wouldn't be so quick to say "normally".
There is a reason this girls real parents didn't have legal custody of her.

. My guess is the child was removed from her parents home by social services and placed with aunt.
Parents vote Republican. There’s your rest of the story.

Absolutely not. We already incarcerate too many
People in this country. And we certainly wouldn’t want to impose a death penalty.
Nope, just allow these folks to bond out and
Give them a suspended sentence. We wouldn’t want to be meanies and lock them up

It sounds like the child was living with both her biological mother and father, and grandfather. It also doesn’t say she was kept there all the time, just that they were hiding her there at the time of the search. Also, she was in “good condition” and doesn’t say why the parents were “non-custodial.” I would like to think that two parents who are still together would have to be either abusive or severely neglectful to have their child removed, but it is New York.

Parents and extended family members get 1 hour and baseball bats.

I think they would have to beat each other up, seems both parents and a grandfather were arrested.

Alright. Alright. I’ll do it…
I guess it could be worse. Could be “Pais” or “Pai” or “Rick”.

Sounds like a custody battle

It sure seems there would be some kind of thermal scope that could be used to find people hiding in a situation like this.

No executions - he needs to be in general population at Angola

This is it for hiding the child for 2 years?

Baw looks like he could be from New Iberia.

This likely isn’t some heinous thing like it seems. One parent has custody and won’t share with other parent Other parent takes kid. She is living normally with other parent for 2 years. Parent gets a tip the cops are coming to find her and they hurriedly hide under the stairs and get quickly found. They were probably under the stairs less than an hour. Not living there.
Well maybe not heinous, that spot wasn’t just thrown together on a tip. May have used it multiple times for hiding.
Which isn’t a “normal” life.

All I’m saying is without other evidence, the article is being very disingenuous. Par for the course with journalists these days.
Not as much of a story in “biological parents take daughter from custodial parents after court gives custody to aunt, hide under stairs when cops come.”
My problem is with the reporting. They make it seem
The little girl was kidnapped and made to live under a crawlspace for 2 years while likely being abused.
It’s just disingenuous reporting and gets the reaction these hacks want

Reading other articles it was the father and mother along with the fathers dad who kidnapped her from her older sister. I'm guessing they are shithead drug addicts.
If they are her parents and were caring for her, what’s the problem?

Sounds like baby daddy and his father kidnapped the kid.
Or did the armed state?
