Will the juice be gone for good, will you still use the local guy, or start paying taxes on all your winnings. Might have to start a gofundme for my guy.

How many people are willing to put money up front whether in cash or credit to fund their bets? Bookies will be just fine.

Continue to make delicious Darrell’s special po boys, that the OT will claim is not an actual po boy. Or start selling coke.

It feels more natural showing up to my bookies shady tire shop in the hood to pick up or drop off an envelope.

Maybe it’s just me

The app is great. So many bets the sports book didn't take.

Also when I used to bet illegally I could only bet the points spread or the over/ under. Now I bet moneyline. Taking Bengals at +265.

The bookies I know have day jobs. I would think most bookies do.. Well actually years ago I remember in the barber shop I used to go to, there was an old timer who actually was investigated by the feds. There were several people involved, etc, He didn't get in any type of legal problems, but the FBI agent he was working with, she told him if he laid low for awhile (not make any big transactions) and claim some of it on his taxes it wouldn't raise any flags for future investigations.

There was a little more to it and he actually had a day job, but if someone does claim some of their earning on their taxes I guess they could do it without becoming a target, but there have bookies in Las Vegas so I am sure this will not run them out of business, but it will not help them.

Weed dealers are probably still doing alright in areas it’s legal.

You will still have your bar bookies.

Serious players will also stay with their bookies. No tax.

As long as my bookie doesn't make me pay taxes then he will still get all my bets.

Legal weed is more expensive, and you pay sales tax on top of that. Also you can’t just call a legal dispensary, and have a guy meet you in a parking lot on Sunday afternoon.

Until people that gamble on a steady basis want to pay taxes to the government I don’t know why the bookies would be looking for a job.

Keep doing their radio show, small restaurant, bar. And taking bets.
