its ok. There is not one redeeming character on the show that I have seen. That is my only real issue. And the daughter is an absolute comic book character who doesn't show here tits enough.

Jamie, oddly enough shaped up to be the character with the most depth and complexity and that's really not saying alot.

What little workiness pales in comparison to the annoying personality of the daughter in the show. She is by far the worse, most over the top character on TV. Show is unwatchable because of her character.

Season 4 isn’t even worth watching outside of the first episode.

TV.

I binged it with my wife. If I had to wait for every season, I probably would have given up. I love that Sheridan is bringing westerns back, but Yellowstone does very much seem like a show that's going to drag on. I'd like to see Sheridan focus on more movies like Wind River, Hell or High Water.

But Sheridan is a cowboy, and this show is probably pretty personal for him. I'm curious to see if the spinoff about 6666 will be a little more realistic.

But I mean who is going to watch a realistic boring show with little drama about a cattle herding ranch?

Fair point.

I've watched it because I genuinely enjoyed the first couple of seasons, but it is wearing thin. Kayce and Jamie at least still have interesting stories, but now I feel like it's just turning into a show about bunkhouse shenanigans and Beth being a psychotic bitch.

The take about it being a soap opera for men is pretty dead on.

Rewatching Longmire with my wife now. Once you get past the improbability of a Sherlock Holmes type of character sheriffing a Wyoming County, it is infinitely more rewatchable.

Other than that the show is quite enjoyable. Is it worth sticking around for 4 seasons?

The first season is pretty good but the realism spirals off the tracks fast after that

People watch it for the horses and scenery

But it was a much better show early on before someone died every scene

Just finished the first season.

A) I assume you are supposed to hate pretty much everyone but the kid, right?
B) The amount of killing/lawlessness is over the top, but I guess it makes for good entertainment.
C) I plan on watching the rest.

ETA: Semi-spoilers... WTF was up with the dinosaur skeleton side-side-plot? If that was a legit mostly intact fossil on their land they could have been set for life but they just treated it like a toy. That might have been the most absurd part of the season.

I mean, if I have to choose between cowboys showing off and Beth being cringe I'll pick the cowboys.

Yea by the way all the adults blew it off as a gamer just assumed it was probably horse bones, but then treasure hunters come and rip apart their whole house and steal it?

Not sure why that was a thing either other than to show the outside world doesn’t respect Native American property rights?

It clearly wasn't horse bones... looked like a fully intact velociraptor or juvenile t-rex, which would be worth a small fortune.

ETA: And John was reading a book to Tate about dinosaurs, talking about how that whole area used to be a beach. Foreshadowing that seemed to go to nowhere.

Just finished season 1. I enjoyed it, even though it was over the top.

Spoilers:

Its so over the top, but I still plan to watch the rest. Beth is annoying as shite (I agreed with the senator lady or whatever she is saying Beth was stuck at the age her mother died), but Kayce is the big problem for me, he's just a straight up murderer.

I also grew up in Bozeman, and my grandfather has a ranch and a lot of land on the Yellowstone River, so I guess its a little nostalgic for me when I see a scene actually filmed there. Been one or two so far. I find it interesting when a scene is filmed downtown, and then the same scene two seconds later is a different location.

You people are crazy. Seasons 1-3 are good entertainment at the very least, and s4 e1 is the best episode of the show.

Rest of season 4 does indeed suck though.

Its a good show. VERY over the top but good. ppl break this show down like it’s an documentary about ranches out west. Its a Male soap opera and if you accept that, it’s a good watch.

Season 4, while very slow, takes shots at the woke crowds. So no it’s not woke.
