Yes, me too. My point was that we don't have leaders like that, although Russia does, and Putin would use a "rebel" faction in the US to completely destabilize the United States in the interests of a stronger Russia.

He would use a large army of "US rebels" as a sword of war by proxy, and then crush them beneath the machines of war when their usefulness had expired.

The old alliances are dead. Western European nations would be hesitant to get involved. Mexico and Canada would look the other way- or side with the globalist uniparty establishment. Australia, our former "ride or die", has been thoroughly infiltrated and emasculated by the globalists. We might have Japan's support, which would be welcomed, but their involvement would draw the ire of, and military action from China against them. Would make it difficult to support a US rebellion force and simultaneously defend themselves from strategic long range bombardment.

Fact is, a civil war in the US would completely destabilize the entire globe, and be the final catalyst for the "great reset".

I want nothing more than for the USA to turn its attention inward, fix our own house, take care of ourselves and get the hell out of everywhere else. I'm tired of fighting everyone else's wars and building everyone else's policy while we have hungry children and homeless military veterans on our own goddamn soil.

Dude is still pissed off over the collapse of the USSR…..he’s not to be trusted.

What the hell makes you think that?

Some of you like him because he’s nationalistic and cares about his country. So why would that kind of person care about the US? An “excellent ally” cares about their ally too. Putin wouldn’t. He would want nothing more than to make Russia own the US regardless of which party was in charge.

If you actually care about individual rights you wouldn’t like Putin because he doesn’t care about those things. Also you want him to own those EU socialists even though Putin is a Soviet at heart.

You can think all the Russia blame is too much while also thinking Putin is a tyrannical POS

Russia is very Catholic and hates Korean pop bands, I for one am good with that.

quote:

.5% of Russia is Catholic This thread is amazing Putin doesn't want you as an ally whether you want him or not. He's a shitty human being. Russians aren't at all akin to traditionalist Americans unless you're viewing it through a 2022 lens of wokeness being the only alternative.

Who the heck thought Russia was "majority Catholic"?

Not only is it HALF of ONE percent Catholic, the Christians there are Russian Orthodox and that is an extremely mystical old-fashioned way to practice Christianity, for example, no sitting in the Church for a service - and services on Easter can go for several hours. And certainly there is nothing like Southern Bapitism or anything like that.

Not only is it not Catholic the second biggest religion in Russia is Islam, it is an official religion of Russia. Everyone I know who lives in Russia thinks that Russia will become a Muslin country in the not too distant future and Putin won't do anything to stop it as long as he can keep stealing from state assets.

Ever hear of the TV Channel Russia Today? This is what is actually Russia Today -

If you want Putin and Russia to be your best buddy - realize who you will be dealing with - it is most definitely not people like you deal with today.

There is a very warped sense about Putin & Russia by some here. They glorify Putin and they have no idea how ignorant it is.

Bush said a lot of stupid things. Most have not panned out.

Putin is opportunistic. While that can be used, it can also backfire.

The only difference between Stalin and Putin is means and opportunity.

Don’t think for one second he wouldn’t kill a hundred million people if he thought it would benefit him and he had the means to do it.

Priority number one after the Cold War should have been to make russia an ally.
Instead, the Clinton administration made Larry Summers and his Harvard cronies point men for the US-Russia project which allowed the oligarchs to loot the nation and ultimately put Putin in power: How Harvard Lost Russia

The US was in a position to actually help the former USSR, but our corrupt leaders were only interested in enriching themselves. Putin is as much their guy as he is a “conservative ally”.

Putin regularly stands up for the Russian Orthodox Church and traditional values in Russia. He doesn’t spout PC bullshite. I prefer Putin to Macron or Merkel any day.

I'm a Pat Buchanan 'Fortress America' type too.

No choice but to make Germany a fake friend. We've been occupying them since the war ended.

Same with Japan.

They are our puppets.

We've no real power over Russia.

Our country doesn't make 'friends' with countries they don't have absolute control over.

The Russian Orthodox Church is a state church. Putin has clamped down on other churches rights. It's a power play, not an appeal to faith or civil rights.

Viet Nam too. But the Military-Industrial Complex needs an enemy and they need a big one. Russia fills that need.

Russia still runs patriotic propaganda. In that sense, they're better than us.

America ran patriotic propaganda for several decades, and then started running propaganda that basically labels everyone who bought into the patriotic propaganda as nazis and white supremacists.

Putin understands you need a national shared culture to unify a country and give people purpose and values. He uses the Orthodox Church to do that. That’s smart and something we have largely lost in America. Europe is a completely lost cause on that front.

Also the fact that Putin only cares about Russia is a good thing for us. It means he is just as worried about China as we should be. I’m much more afraid of these globalist EU leaders who want to subvert the US into a one world government than I am of Putin who just cares about Russia.

People keep mentioning that Putin is against the press there like it’s a bad thing. I think it’s obvious the last 4 years here that our press is corrupt liars who truly are the enemy of the people. A helpful free press died long ago.
