Simply not true. They could have done MUCH better with the writings bud storyline and that falls solely on the creators of the show. They had a lot to work with, and could have explored much more with him being a crime lord or flashbacks to his time as a bounty hunter. Heck they could have even have fleshed out more of a conflict with the Hutts.

I don't disagree that I'd better storyline could have been offered. With that said, I still question if this show has enough to be more than a conduit to set up other shows in the Star Wars universe. We've already been on Tatooine a lot. We've already dealt with gangsters on Tatooine. I'm just not sure having yet another crime Lord on Tatooine helps.

I will say that maybe an origin story that starts with the time right after Jango Fett was killed where Boba Fett was left an orphan and how did he survive after that. It's suggested that Cad Bane took him in and taught him the ways of being a bounty hunter. Perhaps that would have been a more palatable storyline because that would overlap the clone wars which has a lot of material to offer.

The problem with that is at least his early years were covered in The Clone Wars, including the part with Bane. Now once he was arrested by the Jedi and until he resurfaced in ESB, outside of the EU, would have been a great story line.

So, I realize that by the time the conflict on Naboo started, the Jedi were about political influence. And I get that there's a shortage of Jedi right now, too.

But the Tatooine situation sounds a bit like it meets what their purpose originally was.

The Jedi would never get involved in the dealings of 2 crime organizations. Fett may not be running spice but people in Mos Espa and still paying him for protection and he is still a crime lord.

Also the Jedi nor for that mater anyone in charge never concerned themselves with what went on in the Outer Rim. Naboo was part of the alliance or systems under the control on the senate and it was the Jedi's responsibility to help maintain peace within.

I think the part of this show that really bothers me the most is the continuing degrading of the character of Luke Skywalker. they've turned him into a jerk rather then some wise Jedi knight. Luke Skywalker became a Jedi knight because of his attachments to people. In fact the only way he was able to beat Darth Vader was when his sister, Princess Leia, was threatened by Vader. That was the point when Luke raged on his daddy and kicked his behind.

In the OT movies, Luke is kind of a wunderkind. Yes, he was guided by Obi-Wan, and received some training from Yoda. However, he was never raised a Jedi in the traditional sense.

Seeing how Luke has been portrayed in the Sequel trilogy and this show, it actually makes sense that Luke is not the best leader. He's now essentially trying to rebuild the Jedi order from scratch with limited knowledge of the lore.

Other things about the show as a whole. The Mod Squad while lame in the delivery, I did like the idea of exploring bionic humans. In the movies, we mostly see prosthesis as a replacement for damaged limbs. They really could have explored how bionics are used to put weak humans on par with superior alien races or force users. Thus giving the characters skills similar to what is seen in say Mass Effect.

Yeah, maybe if they had actually shown them using those mods to their benefit during the fight. All we got was the guy being able to use his eye to zoom in on someone we could all see.

That was really confusing. It's almost like they completely cut out her backstory since there was so much focus on her in the finale.

Yeah, that was odd. She (Sophie Thatcher) was great in Yellowjackets. It was like they wanted to feature her in this show, but couldn’t figure out how. The writing was just weird.

Also.. was she using a fake British accent, or did I imagine that? Because that makes no sense.

I could never figure out why they kept the mod guy in the grey suit prominent. He never did anything, yet it was like he was part of a trio.

But they sure did zoom in on her a couple of times.

Im very impressed that they took a Boba Fett show, and hijacked it into a Mandalorian series relaunch. Answering the big Grogu questions along the way.

That was awesome.

It all tracks, since Fett showed up inexplicably during S2 of Mando.

I liked several things about the show, but the finale was simply not good. Luke coming to get Grogu and everything the build up in The Mandalorian was just tossed aside. Boba Fett is as incompetent as Joe Biden. The Power Rangers and the girl-power moment that was stuck in was awful, and the lack of strategy on anybody's part in what was going on was downright dumb.

You political fools need to see if Musk can get yall to mars. You clearly went in with a preconceived notion of what the show was gonna be and had zero intention of giving it a chance. You're

. This statement proves you clearly had no knowledge of the characters and the role they will play in the Filoni/Favreau universe going forward. You should just be done with Star Wars

Ummm...Okay. Boba Fett is a incompetent as Fredo. He wants to be in charge, but he doesn't know how to be. He consistently makes poor choices and has to be corrected at every turn to ensure he doesn't bring down the whole family.

That work better for you?

There was no need to have the Mod girl and the Freetown girl team up to stand in the exact same spot on a roof as a distraction that didn't really distract from anyone. It was poorly done and shoehorned in.

The Pykes' strategy was just as dumb as Boba Fett's idea to hide out in a bombed out bar. Send some soldiers in...and then afterwards send in the Scorpion Droids. Maybe just bomb the bar with Boba Fett in it or, if you want a ground war, how about send in the Scorpion Droids first?

The Mandalorian basically stole the Boba Fett show we all wanted.

They definitely wanted an extra year off to figure out what they were doing with the Mandalorian but didn’t want to leave us with nothing.

Well then I got nothing.

It’s a weird show. I get the problem.

How do you make a boba Fett show that gives the fans what they want when you already gave the fans what they want in a Boba Fett show in the Mandalorian?

Space desert Sopranos sounded cool but not gonna fly on Disney plus.
