Anyone have a college football book they have enjoyed and can recommend? Looking for an extremely last minute present idea. Something more focused on the game or programs than human interest piece.

Thanks!

ESPN college football encyclopedia

It’s a little outdated but a good read. It summarizes the history/traditions of every FBS school (at least the ones that were around in 2005)

Appreciate the recommendations. We have a few book stores within a reasonable driving distance so I may check those out as well.

Should be a big hit if the book is for an
LSU fan.

I thought this was a stupid fun book. One of the chapters is about LSU.

That book was depressing. It was more about John Ed’s self loathing and coping with life after football than football itself

Meat Market is a good book.

And it’s probably of particular interest to LSU fans and especially Tigerdroppings posters because many of the people in the book are well-known on this board (Joe McKnight, Ed Orgeron, Frank Wilson, etc)
