It is probably going to benefit he and his family in the short term, financially. But long term it is a poor decision if he wants to develop as a football player. He's going to be playing FAR inferior competition, and is going to be coached by very inferior coaches.

You are correct, a major US Corporation wants to focus on helping improve HBCU's. Those corporations start giving NIL deals to guys like Travis Hunter at Jackson State, then all of a sudden it is easier for the next 5 star to go to Prarie View (i.e. Jerry Rice), or Grambling (numerous NFL HOF, Willie Brown of the Raiders, Willie Davis of the Lombardi Packers, Buch Buchanan of the 60's and 70's Chiefs with Hank Stram, Charlie Joiner WR), or Tennessee State (Ed Too Tall Jones of the Landry 70's Cowboy Dooms day defense).

Jackson St is FCS expanding the playoff will not impact them at all. They don’t even compete in the FCS playoffs

I disagree.
He will be the best player on every field he steps on in college against inferior WRs. He will have a huge NIL deal, and he will be the face of The SWAC. If he does well and gets drafted high, it could be a huge momentum shift for HBCUs in general. Liberal media will make sure he is not forgotten.
