As a white guy, I have no problem whatsoever with HBCUs getting top talent. Well deserved!
I agree, as a an Independent with Conservative and Libertarian leanings, If the HBCU's can use the market place with coming up with NIL deals for top recruits (ESPN 300 type guys) and those guys go to those schools, good for them.
All of a sudden it seems "some of the politically right here" (which I would also be) are not happy that some top notch Black football players may not potentially in the future play for in this case FSU, or in the future, LSU or some other SEC school.

Jackson State played several games on ESPN networks this year including at least one on ESPN2 on a night LSU was on SEC Network…

Look at all that bullshite that young man just typed out. The only reason he’s going to Jackson State is the money.

If the kid makes it to the NFL he will be out within 3 years and completely broke by 26-27 years old

That’s why this NIL and transfer portal are a perfect storm to try to create parity in college.
What is wrong with parity in college football?
I agree with you . I hope Deion signs to play LSU, Alabama , Clemson, Ohio State , Oklahoma ,& whoever else is in the top ten. Then the parity will be everywhere for all to love & enjoy.

I hope this kid is sincere about this decision being bigger than just him with regard to opening up doors for HBCUs to get elite talent. However, if it comes out that he has a million-dollar deal, didn't have the grades, or if he ends up in the portal, he's going to look pretty damn foolish.
Also for his sake, I hope Sanders continues to coach there for a long time and doesn't bail out for a P5 position after selling the whole HBCU thing to this guy.

I think parity is a good thing for college football but it’s obvious many don’t think so. Also, like seeing Alabama lose out on a top recruit no matter where they sign.

Coach Prime fittin ta blow the roof off this thing at JSU. NIL and the portal changing everything. Why would Deion leave JSU if he could make them relevant in big boy football? Watch them expand the playoffs if Prime can keep it up.
LOL talk about showing your ignorance. You do know JSU can't be in the college football playoffs even if it has 24 teams? They are FCS

Great statement from that young man. And good for him. I like it.

You ever see an FCS team move to FBS. I’ll hang up and listen. Talk about ignorant…bet you think GA Tech was always in the ACC too.

Deion would be tough to recruit against
He talks the talk but ultimately it comes down to whether he can coach because if he can’t, none of the talk will matter since losses are not very attractive
Saban isn’t exactly a smoothe jive talker but he can coach and he can teach and motivate kids to do more than they ever thought. It translates to wins and wins gets them on tv. Tv will bring money.
These kids want playing time and money.

I just looked up JSU's record, 11-1 and they are playing South Carolina State this Saturday on ABC? Is that an HBCU bowl alliance type deal?
In 2018, they were 5-5, 2019, they were 4-8, 2020 (his first year) 4-3, seems like he is having an immediate impact.

I think he was referring to the fcs playoffs because they don’t participate in them as of now.
The other text he made was referring to them moving up to the fbs level

Yes, and by playing in that game they forfeit the opportunity to play in the fcs playoffs iirc

Ok, gotcha, but they are on ABC, does that game have a large Corporate Sponsor that has a reasonable payout for those 2 teams. Could be totally a financial decision.

That’s exactly what it is
