BATON ROUGE – Brad Davis will remain as LSU’s offensive line coach, head coach Brian Kelly announced on Wednesday.
Davis, a Baton Rouge native who is currently serving as LSU’s interim head coach for the Texas Bowl, is in his first season with the Tigers. He joined the LSU staff in June after one season at Arkansas.
“Brad Davis is an exceptional teacher of the game and leader of young men, and his passion and dedication to this university and this community are second to none,” Kelly said. “Our offensive line has made tremendous strides under his leadership this season, and his expertise and technical knowledge of offensive line play will remain vital to our program. We are thrilled he will continue to recruit and develop elite student-athletes at LSU.”
“As a Baton Rouge native, I’m extremely grateful to represent LSU, and I remain fully committed to helping Coach Kelly and this staff win championships,” Davis said. “I’m going to continue to work as hard as I can to give our student-athletes the best opportunity for success and to make our fans proud.”

I won’t believe it until Tigerbait1977 confirms it

That’s huge.
If we can retain Raymond(edited: bye Felicia) , Carter and Baker on the other side, I think that would be the ideal scenario.

BOOM! really excited to see what CBD has the line looking like in a year or two. Cregg left this thing in the shitter but it looks like Davis is turning it around.

I’m definitely glad to hear that. I thought he did a really nice job this year, and that’s without having a full off-season at his disposal.

Good move. Recruiting consistency is a good enough reason to not completely clean house

Serious question. Not trying to troll. Why is this a good thing? The O line was garbage this year. I saw no positive development all year. Why should I jump on board with this? What am I missing?

Good call. Need stability there, and as shite as the o line was, they did improve as the season went on.

His off season was a few weeks, Sam Pittman knows this guy is a good coach. Seems BK does also.

Meh....hope he can recruit! Don’t see where he has developed great OL in the past and he hasn’t stayed at any one SEC school more than 2 years.

he hasn’t stayed at any one SEC school more than 2 years.
Stop 2 ended because the best OL coach in the country got a HC gig and wanted a trusted voice to come run his OL
Stop 3 ended because he got an opportunity be at a superior program AND come home
Using these realities in an argument against him is delusional as hell
