Lifelong Houston native and have always adopted “Dallas sucks” without much thought. I’ve actually only been to Dallas a few times and didn’t hate it. Which city is actually better?

Both, because nobody really lives in either.

Dallas is very dependent on its sidekick Fort Worth. So Houston.

If you like massive sprawl then Dallas is for you.

If you like massive sprawl without any zoning laws, then Houston is right for you.

It’s a cripple fight, but if I have to choose, give me Dallas.

Dallas. Reasons, less hurricanes and more open areas.

dallas by a mile. houston is very popular on this board for some reason but i really think it's the worst major city in the country.

Both have some very nice areas to live. North Dallas/Ft Worth suburbs can not be beat for raising a family.

Can we (the south) just send Houston and Dallas to the Northeast and trade them both for Boston?

Fort Worth and it isn’t even close.

Houston is NOLA pre-Katrina. Dallas is trying to be like a big liberal city. Fort Worth still has conservative roots and isn’t a cosmopolitan city yet.

If you haven’t been, let me show you around.
