Pretty simple and a stupid question. You bring the force of nato if you actually want to try and stop it

The biggest lesson in this is never give up your guns and rely on others for security.

In 2014 Ukraine gave up it’s nuclear arsenal with the agreement The US and UK would defend her.

2021 and we ain’t doing shite.

Never give up your guns and rely on the US government for security.

It was the 90s, and the Ukrainians didn't have the Soviet codes to arm the warheads, so they were useless.

Good. Ukraine has been a haven for Democrat corruption since the Clintons.

Have we formally backed out of our agreement to do so? If not, then are bound to that agreement, aren't we? I agree that we need to let the players work it out, but not if that means bitching out on agreements we've made.

What would democrats be demanding Trump do in the same situation?

I expect you people to demand Biden do at least what you’d demand Trump do. But I’d be asking too much because we know you hypocrites would have a completely different set of standards if Trump were in this situation.

We have no reason to pick fights with Russia. It doesn't do anything for us - we don't benefit, in any way.

If we had a good relationship with Russia though, it would come at Chinas expense, and it would strengthen us vs China.

That was not a condition of the Budapest Memorandum. The US and UK are not obligated to militarily defend Ukraine or its sovereignty by any agreement.

The US, UK, and Russia merely committed to respect the territorial sovereignty of Belarus, Ukraine, and Kazakhstan, and refrain from using force against those three nations.

There are no defensive obligations for any party to the Memo beyond seeking UN Security Council assistance if an aggressor threatens Belarus, Ukraine, or Kazakhstan.

So no, we are not obligated to do anything other than introduce a UNSC resolution that will get veto'd by Russia and China.

Hunter better hurry up and negotiate a deal with Transneft so he and "Big Guy" can continue to get their oil royalties from that region.

The US has backed off providing Ukraine with more surface to air missiles

This right here is the perfect example of why Putin is doing this now. Putin takes Crimea. Obama sends night vision goggles.

Trump sent missiles.

Biden halts it, and now Putin will take eastern Ukraine. We should send more night vision goggles so at least the Ukraine army watch the invasion as it unfolds.
