Another teacher being naughty (Marksville) [SuperD AP posts pic Page 4, Ben Hur vid 10]

The Avoyelles Parish District Attorney’s Office has recused itself in this case due to a conflict of interest within the office. Instead, the case is being prosecuted by Assistant AG Erica McLellan. Flores’ arraignment is set for January 16. KALB can confirm that Flores was employed through the Avoyelles Parish School Board as a substitute teacher and the cheerleading coach for Marksville High School. We are working to confirm more details about the charges.
The boy was 15 and happened in the spring of 2022. Dad refused to press charges but it didn't matter.

I suspect what happened was kid hooked up with teacher. Kid then proceeds to tell several people of his "conquest" (very few 15 year old boys wouldn't). Dad doesn't want to push the issue. However, fellow teachers and moms in the area are outraged and want charges brought.
Even though the reality is the 15 year old will likely suffer no "damages" whatsoever from this event, DA's can't be viewed as basically establishing a double-standard in prosecuting these types of crimes. The dad can have input, but he doesn't get to make the call on if charges are brought or not. The "state" does
