MANDEVILLE, La. — The St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office arrested a 13-year-old girl after she allegedly prepared a "hit list" in retaliation for being bullied at a junior high school in Mandeville, La.
Deputies were notified of the list on Wednesday afternoon after another student made it known.
STPSO says the arrested student admitted she made the list due to being bullied by the names on the list.
The girl was issued a summons for L.R.S. 40:1B Menacing and was released to a parent on a custodial agreement to appear in court.
“We will continue to work with our schools to investigate any and all threats on our schools and the students who attend them and enforcement action will be taken when warranted,” Sheriff Randy Smith said.

That might work out for the best for ole girl. I bet everyone will be trying to not make her new list.

Except for the kids bullying and threatening the girl.

When did we turn over Parenting and Discipline of 13 year olds to the police?
I am torn on this one I guess.

What if, and just hear me out.
What if, something was actually addressed to the students on the list?
What if they actually had some real conversations to the students on the list?

Back in the day, that was common but they simply added an "s" to the "hit list".

What happened to those Northshore punks who set Wal Mart on fire?

I suppose it’s when they make a hit list. With the recent history of gun violence in schools you can’t take chances.

When a large portion of them decided not to parent

being bullied
Kids this age have had “bullying” pounded into their heads since they started school. I understand that real bullying does go on and often needs to be addressed. However, these kids now define any undesirable behavior directed at them as bullying, and, many times, it’s far from bullying. I’ve had students accuse other students of bullying them for things like looking at them in a way that they didn’t like or breaking up with them. Attempts at awareness quickly evolved into over generalizing.
