USC sits at 12 with their last one in 1998 and it’s been a bit since they e even played post-season.

We now have 7 and have a coach who has the program headed in a great direction.

How quickly can Jay get us the next 5 to tie or 6 to pass USC?

I say he can do it and by 2035 we will be alone with the most titles.

That’s an extremely tall order. Don’t count on it but it would be a feat imo better than what Saban has done.

Man that's a tall order but we can dream!

I actually believe your gonna continue to see smaller schools with no Title 9 hindering football program in Omaha more and more

Doubtful. Just too hard to run off that many in today’s college baseball. But he’ll probably close the gap enough for the next guy to get there.

I don’t think we can replicate the 90s run, but maybe about half as successful. There’s simply too much new money going into baseball, especially in the SEC. I would say the ceiling on CJJ is a title once every four years on average. So maybe 2-4 more before he moves on or retires?

USC won a bunch of titles when less than 10 teams cared about CBB.

Tall order today.

All he has to do is continue to do what he is doing and the rest will take care of itself. Championships are hard to win so enjoy them as they happen.

This mindset is why some of our fans now hate Paul even though he won a title in year 3 after taking over Smoke's shite.

It's fine to dream, but got to understand and accept that there may be a season in the next 5 years where we don't make it Omaha. Just enjoy this moment now and enjoy the fact that we've seen 7 of these in the last 33 years.

It would take a run like Skip had without losing a final but it would be cool to pass those pricks...

Jay gets us to 10, and then Beloso gets us past USC.

National seed 75% of seasons
Omaha 50% of seasons
Title 25% of Omaha appearances

Those are high, but reasonable expectations. That’s a title every 8 years. Jay is 46, so he’d need to coach until 86. For reference, Wayne Graham was 82 when he retired.

In short, no Jay is not catching USC. I bet Jay gets us 2 more titles though.

So basically, will he be Skip Bertman?
I’d say, maybe, lower your expectations just a tad.
