Just met a disgruntled Ohio State fan in the wild...

He's a new hire at work in the department next to mine (a few cubicles over). He's from Illinois originally, but graduated from OSU's Mansfield campus. We talked briefly about CFB, and he hates the 2019 LSU team... all he could bring up was the 2019 LSU vs Auburn game. He knew all the stats and whatnot. Very weird and obsessed. Says he doesn't get the "mythological hype" around the 2019 LSU team given how they "almost lost to Auburn." Claims 2019 OSU was a better matchup than Clemson but that the refs didn't want Burrow to have his Cinderella story crushed.
Has anyone else run into one of these weirdos in real life?

They trailed Wisconsin for a large part of the Big 10 CG. Auburn had a legit DL in 2019, he says that as if Auburn was some trash team or something, but even still LSU was up 10 at the end of the 4th quarter and then ran the clock out when AU scored a TD with like 2 minutes left. That's hardly "almost losing"

The only person who kept Ohio State from playing in the title game was their own QB, who choked and threw the game ending pick in the endzone with :37 left.

Conspiracy fans and we have plenty are always making excuses for a loss.
Bottom line a few games ago LSU beat BAMA and if we fail on the 2 point conversion then our fans would say the refs called thing one way towards BAMA

I worked for 30 years in a factory filled with ohio st fans. The plant closed in 07 but from 2003 on… I WAS THE COCK OF THE WALK ! And I STRUTTED ! We had a mutual hatred of each other’s teams ! What I miss the most about the job was being able to where my LSU shirt on Mondays after we Kicked arse !
