Ohio state fans are really starting to overcompensate for the fact that they haven’t won a ship in 8 years

Friend of mine ran in to a OSU guy in the airport before the 2019 National Championship game and he was wearing his LSU cap, the OSU guy told him that he wished they could have played the Tigers and my buddy told him “ me too we would have loved to have another top 5 win under our belt” guy didn’t say another word.

Most of the level headed folks up here will just say " yeah, but it took an Ohio boy to get you that championship" I tell them, "thanks we appreciate the OSU's staff not recognizing BDJ's leadership and skills".

We talked briefly about CFB, and he hates the 2019 LSU team... all he could bring up was the 2019 LSU vs Auburn game. He knew all the stats and whatnot. Very weird and obsessed. Says he doesn't get the "mythological hype" around the 2019 LSU team given how they "almost lost to Auburn." Claims 2019 OSU was a better matchup than Clemson but that the refs didn't want Burrow to have his Cinderella story crushed.

What did HR say about the beat down you obviously gave him?

I work with people all across the US daily. When I have calls, you can see my LSU paintings in my background. Just about everyone I work with, male or female, will comment on it and ask if I went there.

After acknowledging that I did, if they like CFB, which the vast majority do, they ALWAYS say "that 2019 Team or that Joe Burrow Team was the best college football team to ever play". Without fail. Doesn't matter how delusional they may be. My current boss is a hardcore Florida fan/grad. We were recently talking about UGA, and she said "yeah, they are great, but nothing compared to GOAT 2019 LSU".

Only delusional idiots state otherwise. Those numbers don't lie.

Denying that 2019 was the greatest season of football ever is living in a fantasy world.

Perhaps Ohio st v Clemson in 2020 was a better game, but that’s because both teams were over rated and could handle each other. LSU dominated Clemson and was far superior.

If I recall, I believe we had 7 top 10 wins in 2019, unbelievable season.

Speaking of the Auburn game, AU had a "Prevent D" TD late with 2:32 to play. LSU had 508 total yards to AU's 287. The game was not in question, but it was a low scoring game due to a sloppy field. The AU defense played "bend-don't-break" good defense. LSU missed a 4th quarter PAT and had two turnovers in the game.

Yes, my BIL. He likes to point out that the 2019 team struggled with Northwestern State in the first half. This is why I hate OSU. Yankees are way worse than Texans.

We met one at a sports pub in Bentonville after the Arkansas game. He was pretty friendly until he started talking stats and teams. No one can outdo my husband there. Gruden gave up against him one night at a bar in Dallas.

It was a unbelievable season and that game was a sloppy mess but sometimes that what a team needs to reach deep down and do what it takes.

I currently live and work just south of Columbus. I've yet to meet a single OSU fan that has anything bad to say about LSU. I will say the delusions come out when they claim Burrow as their own.

There was one drive of the entire 2019 season where the opponent had the ball in the 4th quarter with a chance to tie or take the lead against LSU.

Once.

Boy sounds like he is still but hurt over that 2019. Drop him a little Boudreaux Butt Paste nicely wrapped in LSU gift paper for Christmas.

What does he have to say about the 2007 (January 08) championship game?

In 2019, neither Auburn, nor any other team, had the ball in the fourth quarter with a chance to tie or take the lead, with one exception: Florida had the ball with about 13 minutes left with a chance to tie.

This has never happened before or since.

Sounds like a delusion to me. I thought we got the best of Auburn. and I think we improved quite a bit after that game.

This guy is crazy.

I guess Northwestern should disqualify Ohio State this year.

LSU nearly had twice as many yards and first downs, but had some strange things happened

Like a turnover on downs when they had 2nd and 1 at the AU 29

Turnover on downs when they had 1st and goal at the 3 while not backing themselves up with a penalty

Burrow throwing an interception at the 2 yard line.

Kicking a field goal on 4th and 1 from the AU 2

You could argue LSU left 28 points on the field.
