Most get around this by having the agent speak to someone who is speaking on behalf of the school. So nothing will come of that either, except maybe Roy manning if he was dumb enough to use his university phone to talk to USC recruits.
Reminds me of the back channel stuff during the Cuban Missle Crisis.

I still don’t understand why this shite really matters. It has been going on since the beginning of time. As long as men & women are built the way they are this will happen. Is it what you want, no, but it will always take place. It doesn’t matter if you are the President of the most powerful country or a damn clerk at the stop and rob, it’s going to happen. Relationships are the most difficult things in life. Those people who are lucky enough to have a spouse who is totally faithful have something special. These head of organizations with all the power are usually different and abuse their power; and there are always those who want a piece of it both men & women. So I don’t give two fricks as long as it is consensual and not illegal (meaning someone using their position to take advantage of others).

If OU has texts to recruits from October in addition to pictures of assistants and Riley recruiting for USC while still employed by OU, Riley is going to get the ever loving freak sued out of him.

It’s all over OU forums. I know two people that WORK at OU that know about it. There’s a full investigation going on by OU. Not only for the affair with a staffer but the evidence of what happened during the bye week and missing the press conference, and although it can’t be proven Riley tanked the season. Supposedly they have texts to recruits from October.

Now this would actually be worth suing over. If you can prove he was recruiting for USC before he left OU, you have to nail him for that. You can’t let that kind of thing slide.

if true, the Riley really was never an option.
The more information that comes out, the more I think Riley was never even on LSU’s radar…it was all fabricated.

LR was not texting 17 year olds about USC before he took the job. There's no way. Word would have gotten out.

How does one recruit for USC this day and age and not have a single slip up by a recruit etc get leaked

Might’ve been a bigger deal if the girl was a college student, her just being an administrator is not really a big deal
Just because it's not a student (Title IX) doesn't mean what you just typed isn't sexual harassment and/or illegal/improper. Especially if she were a member of the football program and Under Riley's direct supervision. Just sayin.

If this does turn out to be true, but no laws were broken, USC won’t move on.
They might if the actual contract has not yet been signed (like what happened with Mike Price). Often times these initially hired are made through a verbal agreement, MOU, etc. They are then formalized down the road. That gap between the two times can be a gray area legally.

Agree
The mistress thing is embarrassing for LR, his wife, the husband of the mistress, etc but doesn't directly speak to his focus on winning football games unless he's abusing university resources or focusing more time on sex to the detriment of the work.
OU would have to work to convince the public that none of this information coming out was available until he went to USC. Otherwise this is just throwing the same mud that they have been covering up for years.

Y’all keep saying that it is impossible that we wouldn’t all find out that Riley was recruiting for USC “in this day and age”… we had thirsty fans and reporters from two or more schools looking for info into coaching decisions for LSU and USC for a month and we all got nothing but BS.

If anyone thinks that’s the only strange he was getting you would be wrong.

Even if he didn't do anything to get fired he could still be looking at:
Being sued for support if the mistress' baby is his, many years of $$
Wife taking him to the cleaners, start with half of that contract, more child support, and his kids are young so years of $$
Lot's of lawyer fees
All of this after Cali takes it's cut from that cushy contract
He will still have $ but his slice of the pizza will be much smaller and that Cali cost of living will suck.

But the big 12 commissioner said he’s too good for the south.

I’m waiting for this to unravel and then have Sankey release a statement.

I know he was never an option, but hopefully it'll stut up everybody else.
