I’d rather have Napier than Aranda. I still don’t get the infatuation with Aranda.

As for sourcing, well, Feldman is close with Orgeron so I wouldn’t be surprised if his LSU sources haven’t been fed bad information. Guilbeau and Rabalaia don’t break a lot of news so I would take their opinions with a grain of salt.

GG was literally the first media person to report Johnson as a finalist. Granted it was the day before the hire but lots of revisionist history happening here.

He is a very good defensive coach and has a team with the #26 Scoring Offense and #16 scoring defense.

That’s pretty impressive

I would be excited for Aranda wholeheartedly if I knew he could keep recruiting where it has been since 2000. Aranda with consistent top 5/10 classes would be downright scary. I’m just not so sure that he’s got the chops for this very important part of the job.

Every proven LSU insider is still saying it’s Riley. That can change, but the fact that our side is still very confident on Riley, tells me these reporters don’t know shite when they say “no shot it’s Riley.” Jimbo and Tucker have gotten extensions to keep them away from LSU. There hasn’t been a peep out of Oklahoma about an extension for Riley.

Definitely possible. Scott Rabs did not rule out Riley. I’d be thrilled with either one.

1. Everyone is guessing
2. We will know in due time who the next National Championship Coach will be
3. This board is full of morons - me included - who will need another hobby when this search is concluded

Scott R., didn’t know shite until Woodward was ready. Fieldman simply guesses by throwing shite against the wall, and seeing what sticks. He does not know shite other than what Woodward wants his arse to know. I would believe some of the spewing said by those on this board with so called sauces before either of those two.

One of the best things about Aranda is that I think he is smart enough to realize his own shortcomings.

He would keep the best recruiters on the current staff and hire as good of an OC/QB he could find. I’m assuming Baylor would promote OC Jeff Grimes as their head coach.

He will have a lot of money to fill out his staff.

I’m as excited as Aranda’s personality.

Because speculation doesn’t constitute news.

His Baylor games aren’t exactly the most entertaining but if he wins it doesn’t matter to me how he does it

No one knows anything. Period.
The information is ALL over the place. That should tell you something.

Aranda isn’t a sexy hire because he isn’t a “name” but imo would be the best hire LSU could make. Anybody not excited by Aranda isn’t paying attention.

Not sure what your looking for in entertainment, but Baylor is exceptionally physical and disciplined. I find that entertaining, and would prefer that form over some Air Raid variant.

Bohanon is limited (very poor man’s Jalen Hurts) this what Grimes has piecemealed on offense is really remarkable.

I personally like Aranda’s professionalism and stability that he would bring to LSU. That and I don’t think he would jump at the first NFL offer that came.
I’m sure he would hire a top notch staff unlike our previous coach!
